Beloth, The Darksworn, is a boss found in the Hoenmark Ruins, but is one that can be found in almost any level, despite being considered an endgame boss that is easily one of the hardest. Beloth will easily one-shot most players who aren't wearing the proper armor to counter him.

If you want a chance to beat Beloth, you must wear Kuku Cold-Resistant Armor and Frostcursed Plate Cloak; otherwise you take one hit each time. Below we will share how you can get these armor pieces and how you can use them to easily kill Beloth.

All new power challenges (boss locations) in Crimson Desert

There are 7 new power challenges, each giving players the opportunity to kill a legendary boss. Here's when and where to find them.

You'll be killed in one hit by Beloth unless you're wearing the Kuku Cold-Resistant Armor and Frostucrsed Plate Cloak, which we'll explain how to get before we talk about how to defeat the boss itself.

How to get Cold Resistant Kuku Armor in Crimson Desert

Here's the recipe for Kuku Cold-Resistant Armor, and we'll detail how to get each material below:

Materials

How to get

Upgraded Kuku Pot x1

Crafted for x1 Abyss Cell and x1 Kuku Pot.

Frostcursed Plate Armor x1

Found in Mistshard Cave, in the Far North region of Demeniss.

Power Core – Crown of Shadows x1

Obtained from Abyss Creatures and sealed in the Kuku Pot.

Core of Exaltation x1

Obtained from the Sanctum of Exaltation Riddle and sealed in the Kuku pot.

How to get Frostcursed plate armor

  • The Frostcursed Plate Armor is located inside the Mistshard Cave, in the far northern region of Demeniss.

  • Once you're at the waterfall, just use Stab (R1+Triangle) to enter, where you'll find yourself in a cave that has a Treasure Chest containing the armor you need for this recipe.

How to make Enhanced Kuku Pot

Crafted from Kuku Pot (Iron Ore x5 & Timber x5) and Abyss Cell xu Grimnir, the Kuku Shop vendor we mentioned above.

How to get Power Core – Crown of Shadows

The Crown of Shadows power core is randomly obtained from defeating Abyss enemies such as giant stone worms. However, we managed to manipulate the spawn rate, so if you don't get a specific Crown of Shadows Power Core, make a save file and reload.

  • Head southwest of Hernando to the map marker above, which will take you to the snowy Everfrost Mountain.

  • There's an owl statue that you can smash with Force Palm (R3) and it drops a random Power Core that can be placed in the Kuku Pot with Axiom Force (L3) + Seal (Triangle).

  • If it's not Crown of Shadows, then reload your save and try again.

How to get Exaltation Core

  • You can find the Core of Exaltation in the Sanctum of Exaltation, after clearing the sanctum (which we have a guide for here).

  • Once the shrine is cleared, look north at the blue dial on the shrine device and use Blinding Flash (R1+L1+L1) to hit the blue crystal in the middle.

  • You have to hit the crystal so it spins counter-clockwise, but stop using Blinding Flash every time it hits a rock and only hit Blinding Flash when the dial reaches the crystal.

  • Complete a full spin and a Core of Exaltation will drop from above, which can be grabbed with Axiom Force and sealed into the Kuku Pot.

Now that you have all 4 materials, head to Grimnir at the Kuku Shop in Hernand (marked in the first image in the guide) where you can now craft Kuku Cold-Resistant Armor. While he can't have any Abyss Gears, he has more than enough defense and level 10 ice resistance.

How to get Frostcursed Plate Cloak in Crimson Desert

While not part of the Kuku Cold-Resistant Armor recipe, you'll need this cloak to completely stop blizzards.

  • Head to the Sanctum of Expiation to find a stone door covered in vines.

  • Use Blinding Flash to burn through the vines where you can enter and get two rights to find a treasure chest.

Before you fight Beloth, you need to stock up on Palmar Pills and Recovery Items. Even if you don't die in one hit, Beloth will still soak up massive amounts of damage, so having health and spirit to chip away at his health is essential.

How to defeat Beloth, the Darksworn in Crimson Desert

  • Use Imbue Flame attacks like Flame Strike and those obtained from Abyss Gears to build a massive Stun against Beloth.
  • Use Turning Slash (R1+R2) to set up a stun and damage while being immune to Beloth's attacks during the animation.
  • When Beloth's Stun Meter is full, use R1+R2 to activate the Finisher, which won't deal huge damage, but will help you kill him slowly.

  • These two attacks should be your only strategy against Beloth, as while it may take a few minutes, there is nothing more effective in building up his stun meter and consistently dealing damage.

  • Beloth's attacks can be parried, but to be safer, you should only attempt to parry when you restore Spirit with focus (L3+R3). This way you restore more spirit to your attack pattern and get a window to counter attack.

  • Most of Beloth's attacks can be easily avoided by rolling left or right, or using Turning Slash to stun him and gain a brief invulnerability during his own attack.
