When you first start playing Crimson Desertyou learn that the main character is Greymane, and you also get to know a bunch of other characters from that faction. However, these characters will be separated after the incident in the prologue and you will have to start from scratch.
After you get through the first few chapters, you'll finally meet some of them again through the main story. Familiar Curses is one such quest that allows you to meet an important character. However, if you're not careful, you can end up losing ten silver coins for no reason in this one.
How to start a quest for known curses
If you want to meet Yann again in the Crimson Desert, you will have to go through the main story until you reach the Familiar Curses quest. To do this, you must first get to the third chapter of the storywhere you finally set up your own camp in the A Fresh Start quest. Once your camp is set up, you'll eat with the members and welcome Marius back through a small quest.
When Marius is back at camp, the Familiar Curses quest will begin and will revolves around House Of Healing on the southeast side of Hernand.

How to Enter the House of Healing
When you approach the House Of Healing you can talk to the three women standing near its entrance and they will tell you that the only way to enter it is to get a pass from the Hernand Church or special costume from the shadowy person on the right entrance. You can find this person near another gate as you move to the right.
However, both the costume and the church pass, which you can find on the east side of Hernand, cost ten silver. That's quite a lot of money for an initial game. Fortunately, you don't have to use it, as there is another way to enter the House of Healing without permission. To do this, you need to move to the left of the entrance and go up the hill until you come to a large building.
At the stone fence, you'll see two soldiers talking in front of a ladder. Wait a moment and these soldiers will move away. Take this chance to get inside and climb the ladder to the top. Then drop down to the lower roof to your left and you will see the entrance to the top floor of the building on the other hand.
Enter here and move to the right to find the desired location where you will meet Yann thanks to a cutscene. After meeting him, you simply need to follow him out of the house to complete the Familiar Curses quest.
