Houndstone may look like a haunted power plant, but track it down inside Pokemon Legends: ZAThe Mega Dimension DLC can feel more like chasing a ghost than catching Pokemon. Between Lumiose's spinning Hyperspace portals and evolution playing by its own rules, it's easy to end up barking up the wrong tree.
The game offers very little advice, so if you're ready to stop rummaging through dimensions and want to add this type of Ghost to your team without any hassle, this guide will point you in the right direction, without sitting down.
How to find and catch Greavard
To get the Houndstone, you'll first need a Greavard, which appears in Mega Dimension version of Hyperspace Lumiosewhich is unlocked after completing the main story. This the area cycles through rotating wild zones after play accessed through portals, each associated with a specific type of Pokémon.
Greavard appears exclusively on Ghost-type Mega Dimension portals. When browsing the available portals, look for the Ghost symbol displayed below the Pokemon images depicted. Greavard's icon appears as a gray dog silhouette with a shape resembling a candle on her head.
Since the Mega Dimension portals rotate with a day/night cycle, The ghost zone will not always be available. If you don't see it right away, relax on a park bench to pass the time and update the portal report. It may take several resets to display the correct dimension.
Once inside, you don't need to prepare for an aggressive fight. While Mega Dimension Pokémon are generally stronger than standard wild encounters, Greavard is remarkably docile in this zone and will not immediately pressure your team. This makes it easy to set up a clean scan.
Still, his buffed stats mean he can take a few hits, so he brings solid Poke Balls and a team that can chip away at his health safely.

Shroodle isn't hiding from you on purpose, he's just living in a strange dimension.
How to Evolve Greavard in Houndstone
Converting Greavard to Houndstone has two requirements:
- Level Greavard to level 30
- Adjust it at night
Just reaching level 30 is not enough. If Greavard levels during the day, he will not evolve. In order not to miss the trigger, cool down until the night before using EXP Candies or entering the battle this will push him over the level threshold.
Once Greavard gains a level at night after reaching level 30, evolution will start automaticallyand turns into a Houndstone. No additional items or menu selections are required.
