How to find and defeat Goliath in StarRupture

Goliath is a heavily armored, ultra aggressiveand dangerous vermin a variant that lurks underground, waiting for an unsuspecting prospector roaming her aggro zone to sweep them up and pursue them mercilessly to the ends of Arcadia-7.

Not only is this creature strong enough to one-shot unprepared players, but it's also fast despite its size and heavy armor. Plus, it boasts a few attacks that make it work a type of 'Boss' pestand it is often surrounded by other variants like Swarmer, Spitter, Exploderand Blader.

Each large swarm of these creatures can be commanded by one or more Goliaths, and that's super dangerous. Here's an overview of what Goliath does and how to avoid dying from his attacks:

  • Defense mode: Goliath slows down and covers its front with its claws, making it invulnerable to fire. He will constantly chase the player and will perform an attack when he is in range.
  • Charge: Goliath rushes forward, dealing heavy damage and pushing the player down. It's easy to dodge, but those caught off guard can be killed by the follow-up attack.
  • Pincer attack: Goliath sweeps in front of him or turns with a quick 180º spin to sweep behind him.
  • Shock wave: Goliath pounds the ground, causing a shockwave that travels in a straight pattern, damaging anything in its path.

ARC Raiders: How to beat the Shredder

Shredders are one of the most dangerous enemies in ARC Raiders, capable of destroying entire teams in seconds. Learn how to beat them with this guide!

Defeat Goliath players must distract herthen attack from behind. Its back has a small gap in its shell that needs to be shot repeatedly to damage the creature. After two or three bursts with the LMG or Assault Rifle it should go down (theoretically).

But that's the problem this creature does not reveal its weak point easily, therefore teamwork is essential. One player needs to distract her (agroing), then the rest of the crew should shoot her down.

Grenades don't seem to work with this monster, but they will help defeat the swarm that often hangs around the Goliaths protecting their flanks. So use them sparingly and only if the swarm is difficult to control.

For solo players: Run. Keep running until Goliath is separated from his swarmand put some distance and height between them. Take the high ground and wait for Goliath to circle around to try to reach that position by finding his way up, that's when he reveals his vulnerability. Use it and kill it.

Is it worth growing Goliath?

Goliath Biological Sample StarRupture

Yes, it is one of the best ways to grow a lot of data points because its a biological sample worth 5000 data pointsand each Goliath drops at least one when it dies. The problem is that killing more than one of them at the same time is asking for a kill.

Try to take them down one by one. From Goliaths often wander around Sulfur pits in Arcadia-7. Try to move a short distance northeast of the landing zone discover the area where these creatures breed.
