Heartopia is a peaceful game where gardening, cooking and fishing become gentle rituals of your daily routine. While many of these activities are intended for solo play, Heartopia promotes cooperation and socialization. The Flashing Fish Shadow quest is one example where you need to team up with other players.

Cooking in Heartopia is more than just preparing meals. When done right, it can dovetail perfectly with your other hobbies.
How to unlock Flashing Fish Shadow Quest
The Flashing Fish Shadow Quest is Vaňa enteredfishing mentor. As you continue to complete her tasks, Vanya will eventually contact you about a special tool: the Mermaid fish attractor. This tool attracts rare fish to a focused area so legendary targets can appear.
This will start the Flashing Fish Shadow Quest. The goal of this quest is share your attractor with others and find the Flashing Fish Shadow, a glowing mystery beneath the waves. Unlike normal fishing tasks, this one takes you beyond simple casts and reels.
How to find the flashing fish shadow in Heartopia
To increase your chances of finding a flashing fish shad, head to the fishing village and talk to Billa white-bearded NPC near the dock. Select Sea Fishing Event and select a boat. Once you're on board, you can invite friends or even random players to join you.
When the event starts, throw your Mermaid Fish Attractor into the water. From there, everyone should start fishing in the attractor circle. Your goal is catch a fish with a distinct blue glow.
Don't forget to watch the water carefully. Most fish appear as dark or golden silhouettes. The The flashing Fish Shadow glows with a soft blue light that immediately sets it apart.
Here are some tips to increase your chances of finding a flashing shad:

Catch fish quickly to restore spawn.

Have everyone hunt within the attractor radius.

The more players involved, the faster the shadow tends to appear.

If it doesn't appear, throw another Fish Attractor and try again. You can buy them from Vanya.
Rabbitfish did it for us and some other players also reported that catching rabbitfish completes this quest. It may be a different fish in your case, but you should target the fish that emit a soft blue glow.
Even if one of your teammates becomes entangled in a glowing fish, it still counts towards your quest progress. You can expect the shadow to appear after about five to six catches.
Once the flashing fish shadow is caught, return to the shore and talk to Vanya to complete the mission.
While the Flashing Fish Shadow Quest is designed as a team challenge, you can also attempt it alone. If you decide to go solo, bring some mermaid attractors and choose deeper water areas.
