Finding and buying good weapons is an important part of your journey Marathon. After all, how are you going to take care of other Runners or threatening UESC units if you can't shoot anything? Sure, you have a knife and some Runner Shells have lethal abilities, but let's be real.
Sometimes it can be hard to find powerful weapons while running, or you just don't have anything in your inventory for your loadout and don't want to use a sponsored set. This is where schemes come into play. Learn everything you need to know about schemes and how to use them in Marathon.
What are schemas?
Schemas are valuable items that you can use to gain access to weapons. Once you get the schematic, you will automatically have the weapon unlocked in the Armory — check the right side on any Factions tab, you will see the weapons under the Scheme category.
This is the same for each faction, so it doesn't matter which one you control.
Here you can see which weapons you have unlocked as schematics and if you mouse over them you will see how many credits you have to spend. Also, schemes don't expire over time, but have limited use (usually three). Once you purchase a weapon often enough, it will be removed from the Schematic section.
How to get schematics
The easiest way to get schemes is through Reward Pass. As you play it runs you earn Sinka special currency that you can use to buy levels and unlock rewards from the pass. If you haven't purchased a Premium Reward Pass, don't worry Schemes are available in free layers.
You can also find schematics while looting; they have a chance to spawn near containers and so on any map. However, keep this in mind you will need to successfully exfiltrate it redeem in the Armory.
