If your Heartopia The evenings were too dull, the Sea Lantern event is here to light it up. For a limited time, the shoreline will be transformed into a glowing stretch of floating wishes and gently swaying lanterns floating out to sea. It's a community event that combines creativity with a touch of sentiment.
Of course, participation isn't as simple as going to the beach and throwing something into the waves. It involves a few steps, a few items to secure, and a specific location you'll need to find. Here's everything you need to know to get started.
What is a Sea Lantern event?
The Sea Lantern event in Heartopia is a limited time social celebration that runs until March 9. You can gather along the coast during the event release the lanterns into the ocean and leave heartfelt messages for others to read. The shore is lined with floating lights and lotus flowers, each bearing a wish written by someone from the community.
The event is centered around reflection and connection. You can walk on the beach and interact with lanterns placed by other playersyou will read their wishes and feelings and leave likes on your favorites.
In addition to viewing news, you can also launch your own lantern or place the lotus-shaped Blessing Sea Lantern with your own note attached.
Since messages are visible to others and can be reported, it's important to keep everything appropriate and respectful.

How to get sea lanterns
To participate, you must first participate buy or make a lantern. Open the event icon tab in the upper right corner of the screen and select the Sea Lantern Sentiments event. In this menu look for the store icon in the lower right corner. From here you can get a standard wishing sea lantern.
If you want to place a lotus style lantern, you will have to craft a Blessing Sea Lantern instead. This item is a recipe you buy, not an outright purchase.
To make it va craft tableyou need:
- 15 Wood
- 15 Quality wood
- One flawless fluorite
Once created, you can even dye it to your preferred color before placing it. I chose light blue, but you can customize it however you like.
Once you have the lantern ready, head to the coast and interact with one of the torch release points (they look like four lanterns grouped together). Select Sea lantern wishes you have purchased and selected 'Discharge into the Sea'.
This will trigger an animation where your character gently pushes the lantern into the water. If you have created a Blessing of the Sea Lanternyou can place it right on the beach and attach a message that others can read.
Where does The Sea Lantern event take place?
The Sea Lantern event takes place along the coast between Windmill Flower Field and Amethyst Beach. If you are not sure of the exact location, open the event tab and select 'Lantern Release Point Tracker' to guide you there.
Once you arrive, check out the cluster four lanterns along the shore. This means main interaction point for dropping your lanterns into the sea. From there you can explore the beach, read community news and add your own wishes before the event ends on March 9.
