How to get the Luminwing Butterfly on Starsand Island
Luminwing Butterflies are found in the Dreamfall Garden area of Moonlit Forest in Starsand Islandbut only between 6am and 6pm and only on sunny or snowy days. That said, we caught a few Luminwing Butterflies on a rainy day, so maybe the weather conditions aren't as strict as in similar games. Luminwing Butterflies are also available in all four seasons: Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter.
You can get to Dreamfall Garden by finding all the Gate of Life Gravemite locations in Moonlit Forest. This opens the locked door of the Gate of Life. Once through the door, cross the river and head towards the Moondew Shrooms at the back, as this is where the Luminwing butterflies like to breed.
Now all you have to do is equip the net, sneak up on the Luminwing Butterflies, and then swing the net to catch them. Make sure you sneak up slowly or they might fly away. You can To do this, toggle CTRL on your computer.
What is Luminwing Butterfly used for?
You must catch five Luminwing Butterfly fix the Luminpath in the Dreamfall Garden area of Moonlit Forestwhich leads deeper into the forest, to Crystalith's hideout.
Once you've netted five Luminwing butterflies from the Dreamfall Garden, send them to the Luminpath console behind the door you need to hit with the upgraded pickaxe, then follow the blue bridge that appears up to the Crystalith hideout.
Be warned, there's a boss waiting for you in the Crystalith Hideout, so make sure you bring some ranged weapons.
