Astra Malorum Easter Egg Walkthrough – CoD BO7

Here's an easy step-by-step guide to walk you through the main Easter Egg Quest for Astra Malorum in Black Ops 7 Zombies!

How to start the Mars Pillars step in Astra Malorum and get the Mars Bird

To get started, of course, you'll first need access to Mars in Astra Malorum. We have a guide specifically for this step, which you can find here. Now that you're on Mars, you'll want to pick up the brain of Dr. Thurston in the center of the map and then place it on the altar at the top of Mars. Now interact with the brain of Dr. Thurston at the altar and trigger the beep.

With the beep triggered, immediately head to the east window of Mars where you will find 4 pylons in the distance. Shoot the farthest right pylon with your weapon, it will glow blue and attract the Ascendant Eye bird. Now shoot the furthest left pylon, then the nearest right pylon, and finally the nearest left pylon.

Once the pylons are active, immediately turn around and shoot the pylon ball above the altar while facing west. This will glow blue and cause the Ascendant's eye to freeze in place. You have to keep activating the orb to freeze the Ascendant's eye while you wait for the low gravity and while you wait for the Ascendant's eye to be low enough to grab it with a jump. Once you have it, place it on the altar to the south.

How to solve the Mars symbols and pillars puzzle in Astra Malorum

With the Ascendant Eye in place, you'll want to use the LGM-1 Wonder Weapon to shoot the top of the 5 unique pillars found on Mars. If you do this correctly, the top of the pillars will glow blue. All these pillars are in the room and you will have to shoot the golden antennas that are on top of these pillars. If any pole is missing an antenna, try starting a new round or continue with the next step:

  • One pillar is located to the south, to the right of the Ascendant Eye.

  • One pillar is located looking west, to the right of Dr. Brain. Thurston.

  • One pillar is located looking west, to the left of Dr. Brain. Thurston.

  • Two pillars are located looking north, between the broken pillar.

You'll want to take the portal that takes you back to Astra Malorum and enter the observatory core. Interact with the device to the right of the piano and watch for 5 unique symbols to appear. These symbols will have a unique sequence, but one of the symbols will be empty, represented by sound waves. To find an empty symbol, find a column symbol on Mars that doesn't match your displayed symbols so you know where it will be in your sequence.

To solve the Pillars and Symbols of Mars puzzle, you will need to interact with each of the symbols on the pillars of Mars in the same sequence as the piano shows.. These symbols look a little different from piano to column, so we've translated each symbol to give you a visual guide.

To solve the puzzle, you must interact with each of the symbols on the pillars in quick succession. You'll know you've made the right move because the walls of the pillar will turn blue instead of red, and you can now visit Dr. Brain. Thurston, communicate with him and start a boss fight.
