How to unlock Prober
By operating a gas station, you will start earning alien pointswhich will help you unlock alien technology. This technology will help you in your investigation and generate even more pointsthus unlocking the ability to purchase more detailed equipment. The first piece of investigative alien tech you unlock is the camera, and from there you'll eventually get to the Prober.

How to use Prober
The Prober is a must-have gun-like device used for a person standing still for a long time. If they move, they will be offended by your actions, and if your suspicion is high enough, they will prompt an agent to hunt you down immediately. After unlocking Prober, you will be able to unlock more automatic versions that will be less noticeable to the customer, but these are expensive.
When you approach a customer, you have to crouch behind them and point the probe at their bottom. A mini-game will appear and what you have to watch out for is the vibrations. Use a mouse or controller to do this move in a circle to find the strongest vibrationthen hold down the appropriate button until the expanding circle matches the stationary one.

How to use per agent
After you've researched your first three customers, you'll be tasked with using Prober on the agent and surviving. To do this, you will need a lot of help from your teammates and good timing. When the agents come to question you, have someone shoot them with a laser gun so they are knocked out on the floor.
Make sure someone can shoot them whenever they try to get up when you get close and use the Prober. It doesn't matter that they're brandishing a laser gun if you're in a minigame. After success, use the Brain Washer erasing their memories and causing them to leave the gas station unknowingly.
