This chapter delves deeper into the character of Chroll Lucilfer, specifically the beloved antagonist and leader of the Phantom Troupe.

This arc Hunter x Hunter could very well mean the end of many beloved groups and characters in the series, which also includes the Phantom Troupe.

Chrollo intends to die

IN Hunter x Hunter 405, Chrollo was a transitional character as he focused more on other characters like Hisoka or Heil-Ly. During the few moments Chrollo had in that chapter, Bonolenov mentioned that he was searching for a special treasure. This treasure is on the Black Whale and it is not yet known what exactly it will be. This treasure will be used to kill Hisoka for good. From all of this information, it's easy to deduce that this treasure that Chrollo is after is possibly a Nen ability from someone on this ship. This Nen ability would be strong enough to kill Hisoka and keep him dead. It's also possible that instead of Nen's ability, it could also be some artifact that has some power. Whatever it is, this treasure will probably kill Hisoka, but it will also cause the death of Chrollo.

Chrollo, based on what the other party members seem to observe, is ready to die to take down Hisoka, which is why the other spiders try to get to Hisoka themselves first to save Chrollo. However, Chroll's determination will likely mean the end of him and likely the end of the Phantom Troupe in this arc. Another chapter that is Hunter X Hunter chapter 406, could show Chrollo getting closer to whatever treasure he desires. IN HxH 405, Bonolenov was quite the main character who took over most of this chapter. In that chapter, he revealed that he was disguised as Hisoka when he met Xi-Yu, and during that meeting, Xi-Yu member Lynch Fullboko discovered him as a fake Hisoka. Because of this, Bonolenov resorted to killing her. He tried to cover up her death to pretend he wasn't involved, but the Xi-Yu are definitely smarter, especially Hinrigh, who turns out to be quite smart and calculating.

The Xi-Yu members, which probably include Hinrigh and Zakuro, may find her body in the HxH 406. Depending on how important Lynch was to them, this could mean they wanted revenge for her death. Killing a member of their mob family could be a serious offense.

Whatever happens next definitely depends on who is to blame for her death. Bonolenov was disguised as Hisoka when everything happened, so if they were going to blame anyone for her death, it was quite possible that it would be Hisoka. This means that Xi-Yu will probably go hunting for Hisoka. The Xi-Yu have no real means of tying it back to the Phantom Troupe right now, so they should be safe for now. However, this could change and have a bad effect on the relationship between Nobunaga and Hinrigh, which could affect the entire functioning of the Heil-Ly family.

HxH Chapter 406 could definitely start with Hinrigh and Zakura finding Lynch's body somewhere and fans will have to see how events unfold from there.

Hisoka and Bonolenov are very important for Hunter X Hunter Chapter 406

The main focus HxH 405 was the revelation of Hisoka's whereabouts. The Hisoka that fans saw earlier in other chapters was not actually the real Hisoka, but a fake one. This forgery was achieved by Bonolenov's Nen ability, Metamorphosen. Bonolenov, who was pretending to be Hisoka, now changed into another form. It is still unclear if Hisoka is aware that he is being watched, but knowing Hisoka's skill level and strength, it is not unlikely that he is.

If Hisoka knows about Bonolenov, he could lure him to another place on this level of the Black Whale to take him out. As fans know, Hisoka made it his goal to eliminate, one by one, every member of the Phantom Troupe, including Bonolenov. With all of this in mind, the next death among the Phantom Troupe could very well be Bonolenov, as he seems to be in the most compromised position at the moment. Hisoka is extremely strong, and to make matters worse for Bonolenov, Hisoka's Nen ability, Bungee Gum, is the perfect counter to Bonolenov's ability.

Hisoka could easily incapacitate him by immobilizing him or even plugging his holes with Bungee Gum, making it impossible for him to play music and activate his powers. This match is very bad for Bonolenov, and if he doesn't find a way to escape and get the information he's gathered back to Chrollo and the others, he may very well die. This would send Chroll into an even worse state of mind, with each Spider's death further cementing his determination to kill Hisoka, even if it meant going down with him.
