I know I'm not alone in saying that – especially given the constant discussion about it Arc Raider — but I've never been a fan of the PvP game. I've tried to enjoy it, I really have, but no matter how hard I try, I can't quite get to the point where I find it worth spending time on. In the same way, I have no problem admitting that I'm not good at it and spending tens of hours losing just to slightly increase my skill doesn't appeal to me in the slightest. However, I'm also going to come right out and say that PvP belongs Arc Raiderdespite frequent cries from fans for only a PvE mode to be added to the game.
Here's the thing: if you take out PvP Arc Raiderit's not anymore Arc Raider. A PvE-only mode sounds like a great idea on paper, and would probably be a bit of fun – but it would be missing one of the most essential parts of the game. Keep in mind this is coming from someone who usually can't stand PvP and still sees the need for it Arc Raider.
Why Arc Raiders needs PvP
Shortly after it launched, I started seeing headlines and comments on the forums revolving around this idea Arc Raider it needs a PvE only mode – like this reddit post by Disastrous_Mud_8040. As someone who loves a good PvE game (and Arc Raider it certainly has), I get it. However, there is more than one reason why implementing a PvE-only mode in the game wouldn't work, and it starts Arc Raider' design.
First, if Embark really wanted to implement a PvE only mode Arc Raiderit wouldn't be as simple as removing all enemy players from the mix. Because Arc Raider is an online game, it would need to ensure that any progress made in PvE only mode cannot be transferred to PvP to keep things fair. It would be something like a completely separate game within a game, and there would have to be a clear dividing line between the two experiences. In other words, it wouldn't just be about pressing the Embark button – the entire gameplay and progression loop would have to be reworked to suit PvE players.
Again, I won't deny that a PvE only mode Arc Raider it sounds like fun and I can see why there is such a demand for it. Even if the mode only had PvE, I can almost guarantee it will lose its spark very quickly. Arc Raider it thrives on tension, as any extraction shooter should, and leaving that tension in the hands of its semi-predictable AI would make it fleeting at best. After spending a decent amount of time in a PvE-only mode, this part of the community would probably complain about boredom Arc Raider is, which brings me to my point.
The reason PvP is so challenging for those who prefer PvE is because the players are much less predictable than the enemy AI, but that's exactly what makes it an essential part of the game. Arc Raider experience. Yes, there is enemy AI Arc Raider it's brilliantly designed and can throw even the most experienced players for a loop – because it actually behaves intelligently, unlike bots in most games. However, he is still much easier to deal with than an enemy player who has no definitive patrol route or predictable moveset. I would say that when PvP is removed from the game, most of the tension goes with it. And what those hankering for this PvE-only mode don't need to consider is how much Arc Raider it depends on the voltage.
What Arc Raider PvP adds that his PvE cannot:
-
Unpredictable encounters that shape every raid.
-
Higher stakes that encourage careful decision making.
-
A dynamic pace that artificial intelligence alone cannot maintain.
-
Unforgettable moments created by real player behavior.
Arc Raider it gets fantastic scores (with one of those scores being a shameless 10/10 from me on Game Rant), but there's a reason it's doing so well. Each of its elements contributed to those scores, and PvP is a much more significant contributor than some might think. If you are one of those who want to play Arc Raider without PvP I tell you with all confidence that you wouldn't enjoy it for very long. If that's it Arc Raider is too difficult with PvP, take advantage of its risk-free Free Loadout system. Do whatever it takes to appreciate the PvP aspect of this game, as it really is a valuable and necessary part of it.
