LEGO revealed his novelty Pokemon sets just two days ago, and while this is only a fraction of what this massive collaboration will entail, the three sets unveiled so far are a good indicator of what to expect from 2026 and beyond. These three sets are dedicated to Pikachu and Poke Ball, Eevee and Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise. In theory, this would be a great lineup to start off with and generate both hype and sales, but reception has been mixed so far. Between Pikachu not being on par with other LEGO products in terms of quality and the Kanto starter set being very expensive, LEGO Pokemon he didn't start off on the right foot.
No matter how you feel about the new LEGO Pokemon For now, there's a good, layered reason why you should buy one of these, and it all starts with a completely different collaboration: Star Wars. LEGO Star Wars The 2026 sets are among the most hyped and continue the long tradition of LEGO a Star Wars collaborating on big, beloved releases. One of the oldest and most expensive is the Millennium Falcon from 2007 at almost $5000, and before you point out that there is currently an $850 Millennium Falcon set in the official LEGO store, those are different beasts. And this expensive 2007 Millennium Falcon set is exactly why you should get your Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise. Pokemon set sooner rather than later.
I'm glad the LEGO Pokemon sets were just revealed because now I know my wallet is safe
Pokemon-themed LEGO sets have been a long time coming, but now that they're here, they seem pretty disappointing – and I won't be buying them.
How LEGO Star Wars Set a Precedent You Shouldn't Ignore With LEGO Pokemon
The UCS Millennium Falcon LEGO set, number 10179, first debuted in 2007 following a series of successful and popular products themed around the iconic Star Wars The LEGO starship, so much so that the Danish building brick brand now has an entire website dedicated to the history of the Millennium Falcon in LEGO. The 2007 Ultimate Collector's Millennium Falcon set went for an amazing $499 for 5,197 pieces, including rotating and extendable parts. However, the kit is almost impossible to come by these days and you have to shell out between $4,000 and $5,000 for it, if not more.
The currently available 2017 Millennium Falcon LEGO set can be purchased for $850 and is arguably an upgrade over the 2007 edition, but for collectors they are completely different in price, value and scope.
If you want the most value for your money when buying LEGO Pokemon, you need to act fast
So what does the Millennium Falcon have to do with LEGO Pokemon in 2026? The answer is layered:
-
LEGO Pokemon The collaboration is one of his biggest to date, both in terms of hype and scope, and even bigger than LEGO Star Wars. This means the products will inevitably be targeted by scalpers and investors, becoming a must-have for millions Pokemon fans around the world.
-
The Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise LEGO set is probably comparable to the Millennium Falcon in terms of size and price, although it may not be limited to a few thousand copies due to popularity. Pokemon and specifically for Kanto beginners, it will probably become less and less easy to find or affordable in the future. This means that if history repeats itself, the Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise set could be much more expensive in a few years, possibly reaching $2,000 or more by 2030.
-
Although the Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise set can be printed on demand, I'm not sure LEGO anticipates the full hype surrounding them, especially since Pokemon celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. It may be months before this kit is available, or at least there may be hiccups in production and delivery.

By purchasing the Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise set, you will be entitled to the rarest LEGO Pokemon Set 2026 — Kanto region badge collection. This set contains eight gymnastic badges from the Kanto region, complete with a display, all built from LEGO bricks. Since the only way to get this set is as a gift when purchasing the new Kanto Starter Set, and since this gift is only available while supplies last (the set is already sold out at this stage, although it may return soon), it's very likely that it will be completely unavailable in the near future. This set will also have great value on the used market in the future, so your best bet is to get the Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise set now to secure the Kanto badges as well (if your region still has them in stock).
Is LEGO Pokemon's Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise Set Worth It?
Similar to 10179 LEGO Star Wars The UCS Millennium Falcon set became a collector's staple, as did the Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise sets over time. It's also worth noting that this set is the 8th largest LEGO set of all time with 6,838 pieces, and while it's not one of the most expensive LEGO sets in history, it could very well reach that status in just a few years.
So, if you're on the fence about getting one, do yourself a favor and do it before the Kanto Region Badge collection is unavailable everywhere, because even that can quickly become a collector's item and be worth a few grand on its own. This is especially true because scalpers are already reselling LEGO Pokemon Kanto badges set online for hundreds of dollars.
