Jujutsu Kaisen is a story that contains scary horrors of the body, frightening monsters and treacher of intestines that often lead to bloodshed. Yuji Itadori is a high school student who becomes a vessel for the all -powerful demon Ryomen Sukun to try to save his friends, a decision that sends him to discourage legendary to the foundations, fights a team of frightening villains trying to get into the Sukuna.
Adam McArthur votes Itadori in Jujutsu Kaisen, England, and despite the horror elements of the show, it kindly refers to Itadori as a “golden retriever” several times when we sit down.

Who asks if you cry?
“I know he has gone so much, but what I love about yuji is that he is still yuji,” McArthur says about his character. “He still wants to do good and still wants to be the best he can do. I think even though the light can be a bit of dimmers from the second season, he's still our sun boy.”

This optimism and compassion serves to balance the power of a hungry fleet, a demon who shares the body with Itadori. Yuji is the only person capable of containing a versatile spirit, and while Sukuna growls and mockery to those he considers too weak to entertain, yuji is a more empathetic character. I ask if he has a favorite quote from the show, and McArthur remembers the grim moment since the end of the second season, a series of episodes that have seen Itadori's closest friends and mentors beaten (or worse).

And while most of his costumes spend time in booth the battle of shouts, the real challenge of recording Jujutsu Kaisen for McArthur comes from the difficulty of Itadori's story.
“My idea of trauma and Shibuy's incident was that I wanted him to feel as successful as possible; I didn't want him to feel as if it were an anime cry or anything,” he says. “And as you do, it's just to make it as successful as possible for yourself, so it was difficult to go to the studio from a week to the studio and in this space for life for almost the whole season.”

Talking about Zoom, Jujutsu Kaisen has recently been named Animated TV show in the Guinness Book of World Records for 2024, a relative newcomer who has been defeated for a long time, such as an attack on Titan and one piece that held the title in the past.
McArthur says he would send one piece to space if he had to choose another show for his pink hair protagonists. “I feel that Luffy and Yuji would get along well,” he says, “and also, give a little break.”
This year's decision was a throwing between Jujutsu Kaisen and one piece, but the impact in popularity in mid -2024 put JJK pressure on victory. Perhaps no coincidence, the increase happened shortly after the release of the song “Otaku Hot Girl” Rapper Megan Thee Stallion, which begins with the altered series of ITadori of Anime and has been doing a number of links to the show all the time.
When another character asks what kind of woman he likes, Itadori answers, “I like a tall woman with a nice big ass, just say,” the voice line that was liquidated on the social media. The original quote speaks of Jennifer Lawrence, but McArthur says he saw people arguing about choosing celebrities online. In 2021, after her victory in 2021, he again gave the line to become Megan Thee Stallion and hear nothing more outside the social media until his phone went wild at 9:30 am.

I ask what kind of music he thinks ITadori would create. “I'm like the big 1990s hip hop guy, but I don't know if he would choose the same thing. I feel as if he chose Blackpink as some kind of K-POP.”
What will be for McArthur next?
Just because Jujutsu Kaisen is among the seasons, does not mean that McArthur has not been busy. His latest work ranges from roles, such as Reno Ichikawa in another popular anime Kaiju No. 8, to Troy Simpkin in WWE 2K24. It is busy with the rest of the year 2025 and it is good on the way to play the unprecedented figure in the upcoming dating of the simulator and the date of everything!, A game of dating your anthropomorphic home furniture.
“I'm still trying to find a simple way to explain the assumption of people without sounding, so it sounded there,” he laughs. “You'll give furniture. It's a game where you can darken with anything and everything in your house. It turns into a person but that's good.”
