Invincible VS Announces Alpha Test in Two Character Reveal

Invincible VS announced that its four-day closed alpha test will arrive at the end of November, along with the reveal of Robot and Monster Girl for the upcoming superhero fighting game. While attentive fans knew that Invincible VS closed alpha test will be coming from early October, a new trailer shows exactly when those chosen to participate will get their first crack at the game.

A three-on-three fighting game inspired by Robert Kirkman Invincible comic book series and its Amazon Prime animated television adaptation was first announced in early June, is being developed by Quarter Up and published by Skybound Games. With an expected release in 2026, Invincible VS promises to deliver plenty of familiar characters and locations, and its development team has past fighting game experience, led by members who worked on the 2013 game Killer instinct.

Invincible VS Closed Alpha Test Dates

Friday 21 November – Monday 24 November

In a newly released trailer, the developers have now shared that select players will get their first hands-on experience building the game on November 21st, with the closed alpha session due to end on November 24th. The link to sign up for the closed alpha is now available on the top banner of the official one Invincible VS website that invites potential PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S players to participate, get a first look at its gameplay and provide feedback to help them Invincible universe expand into the realm of fighting games. Although the game is also planned to be released on PC via Steam, only console players will be able to participate in the closed alpha.

While letting players know when they will get their first shot Invincible VS is an important part of the trailer, centering on its two most recently revealed characters, Robot and Monster Girl. The trailer shows nearly two minutes of footage of these two Mark Grayson allies in action, both as a team and against each other. Although Monster Girl is technically in her 20s, she can transition between the forms of a 12-year-old girl and a hulking green monster with superhuman strength and tenacity. Joining her on the list is Robot, a brilliant but frail scientist who uses his mechanical body to more than compensate for his organic physical limitations.

Kirkman, who has an active supervisory role in the game's development alongside original comic book illustrators Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley, has already promised that the playable roster Invincible VS will be “absolutely insane”, with almost full certainty that if fans can think of Invincible character, they will be in the game. Before the latest reveal, the only characters officially confirmed for the game were Invincible, Omni-Man, Atom Eve, Rex Splode, Bulletproof, Battle Beast, Lucan, Thula, and Cecil Stedman. Still weighing in at less than a dozen characters, Kirkman's claims make it likely that there will be many more character reveals to come. Invincible VS aiming for a 2026 release.
