Is Roronoa Zoro stronger than Rob Lucci?

Why Zoro will fight with Rob Lucci on the island of Eggead

As already mentioned, Zoro defeated Kaku on the island of Eggead, so it might ask why the straw hat will fight another powerful enemy. The simple answer is that things are about to get worse. Kizaru and Saint Jaygarcia Saturn were already on their way to Eggead before CP0 landed on the island. The reason is that Saturn was in charge of science and defense, so his responsibility was betrayal. A member of the five elders would never travel alone, and therefore Kizaru accompanied him.

A new trailer for the arch of Eggead reveals that Kizaru arrives at the island and asks Luffy to give up. There is also a short segment in which you can see Luffy attack Kizar.
