Heroes 3D Dot Game
Voxel to the past
Heroes 3D Dot Game is an unsung gem from the PS3 era that never left the platform in any way. It's an homage to the original Zelda game on NES, but reimagined as a 3D voxel game. Players can choose a preset avatar, or create their own if they're smart enough to create a Cloud. Final Fantasy VII or, rather, a reference from Zelda series.
Players search around the world, accept quests and dive into challenging monster-filled dungeons. In addition to great visuals and avatar creation, Heroes 3D Dot Game she is known for her absurdly giant swords that can cover entire screens at full health. Part homage, part parody, Heroes 3D Dot Game it would get a lot more love if it was ported to any other platform.
There is nowhere to hide
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots was released in 2008 and after nearly two decades is finally leaving the PS3 via August Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2. That said, August is a long way off, and the collection may change some things or even be canceled before launch. That's why it's still a good idea to keep it MGS4 loaded on the PS3 and you'll see the latest Solid Snake game.
10 “bad” PS3 games that are way better than you remember
Don't let your memory fool you; these PlayStation 3 games were much better experiences than most give them credit for.
Unlike many Metal Gear games, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots it's more linear than most items, as there are quite a few places to change the game. While things are more open in the opening desert city, later areas become more structured. However, the iconic blend of action, stealth gameplay and over-the-top set pieces was not lost as Hideo Kojima gave it his all as if it was going to be his last.
LittleBigPlanet 2
Stapled
Strangely no PS3 LittleBigPlanet the games exist for streaming on PlayStation Plus, though it would certainly be harder to create levels over shoddy streaming networks, which may be one of the reasons. Regardless of why, LittleBigPlanet 2 is still a great 2D platformer that players can enjoy alone or with friends in four-player co-op if anyone still has a PS3. With tons of costumes and accessories, every player can create their own Sackboy.
Media Molecule has surpassed the original with more imaginative levels and a larger list of creative tools for players to create almost any type of game they want, from RPGs to racers. Unfortunately the community no longer exists as the servers shut down, but even without the level creator, LittleBigPlanet 2 is fun as a strict 2D platformer. Although it is not as widely known as a Mario game, LittleBigPlanet 2 can still offer a great party challenge.

Not quite Halo Killer

Killzone 2 was promoted as “Halo Killer” back in the day, and while he didn't usurp it Halo games on the Xbox 360, or even look as good as the original trailer, it still proves to be a great shooter. The iconic headgear of the Helghast soldiers haunts fans to this day, and unlike many first-person shooters of the era, the gameplay was very serious.
The hero moved like a tank, but on the other hand, they also had a steady target like a well-oiled machine. The color palette is mixed with lots of blacks and browns, but Killzone 2 makes up for the drab color scheme with an exciting campaign full of bombastic moments. As with the first party series, it is also strange that it does not Killzone the PS3-era game is available to stream on PlayStation Plus.
One last hurray
Twisted Metal was a reboot released in 2012 that gave players more freedom than the previous entries. The core of the game remained the same: players could choose characters to go out and fight in vehicular battle arenas. The big difference this time was that there was also a lot more ground fighting with human characters.
Although not praised as the best Twisted Metal game in the series, it was a nice return after a few years of absence that unfortunately didn't merit another sequel. The only thing close now is the TV show on the Peacock, which is honestly a good video game adaptation. Online servers are down, but Twisted Metal still having fun alone.
Folklore
Irish Action RPG
Folklore is a completely forgotten action RPG that never received a PS3 port or sequel. Players control two different characters, each with the ability to capture and summon creatures. They could assign these creatures to face buttons to attack enemies in real-time combat, almost like a cross between the two Pokemon and a darker, fairytale-filled game like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
A journey through gaming history with the 10 oldest official PlayStation games
Sony has released a lot of games over the decades, but these are the very first games they've ever developed in-house.
Celtic lore inspirations for monster and world designs helped Folklore stand out and the combat, while not exceptional, was satisfying to control. It's one of the most obscure action RPGs on the PS3, and we recommend picking this one up in the wild if you get the chance. The developer, Game Republic, was underappreciated in its short window of game creation Folklore to be one of their best.
Katamari forever
Keep moving, moving, moving
Katamari forever is one of the best entries in the series and it's incredible that it's stuck on the PS3. Like everyone katamari game, players will start out as the Prince of the Cosmos or one of their many cousins and traverse various landscapes and craft items. Instead of creating stars as a single focus, this time players will have to roll objects to bring color back into the environment.
The color palette is a bit more faded and the cel-shaded art style is lighter in design Katamari forever stand out even more. The art style is distinctive, the music is great, and the gameplay, while difficult to master at first, is easy to get used to. Hopefully this quirk will eventually get remastered like the others one day katamari they have games.
