This article contains spoilers from the Final Saga of One Piece.
One piece Fans are eagerly waiting for the next arc of the story to begin. for now One piece is in the Elbaf arc, which focuses on Luffy and the crew's adventures in the land of giants. It goes without saying that One Piece's Elbaf arc is extremely exciting, and this is also evident from the fact that One Piece sales are starting to rise again. But the Elbaf Arch will not last long. In his annual message at Jump Festa, Oda has made it very clear that he intends to finish the Elbaf arc in 2026 and start the next step for Luffy and the straw pirates.
One Piece: 7 Arcs To Come After Elbaf
Elbaf is great, but there are even bigger arcs coming after him in One Piece.
This also means that One Piece will head even deeper in the final saga in 2026. In fact, even more surprising is the fact that Oda hinted that One Piece might even skip its next arc in 2026. This is very scary but also exciting for the fans.
One Piece is already deep into the Final Saga
-
Egghead was the first arc of the final saga
-
Elbaf is the second final arc of the saga
One Piece's the final saga kicked off the Egghead ArcScience Island, where Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates met Vegapunk and discovered many secrets about the Void Century and the origin of the Devil Fruits. This arc was massive and focused on characters like Jewelry Bonney and Bartholomew Kuma. It was easily one of the best arcs that fans have seen when it comes to the beginning of the saga, but it was just an appetizer for what was to come.
This is the land of giants. Long ago, the ferocious warriors of Elbaf conquered the New World. The World Government will have its power no matter what! — Shamrock Figarland to Gunk in One Piece's Elbaf Arc
So far, the last saga of One piece hasn't warmed up yet, but the story is still more intense than ever. That means once One Piece is heading deep into the final saga, which should take place after the events of the Elbaf Arcthings are about to get even more exciting. In the Elbaf Arc, Oda referred to the battles unfolding as a prelude to the final war to come. The final war, also called by many as the Great War, will begin very soon and it seems that it will happen after the Elbaf arc wraps up.
This also means that once this arc ends, One Piece will dive into the deepest dive in the history of the world to date, while also giving fans the biggest battles it has ever played, and that's incredibly exciting. Even more exciting, according to Oda, straw pirates head down the Elbaf Arch to a very strange place this could actually be related to the final arc of the whole story. This place could very well be Laugh Tale, a hidden island that only Pirate King Roger could find.
Eiichiro Oda's report confirms that the final arc is coming
Every year at Jump Festa, Eiichiro Oda gives his exciting message telling fans what's to come in the following year. This year was no different, and Oda revealed quite a lot of exciting things to the fans. Oda talked about the live action coming in 2026 as well as the confirmation of a live action season 3. He also briefly talked about the WIT anime as well as the upcoming One Piece movie.
Above all, however Oda talked about the manga and what to expect from it in 2026. While Oda has teased many confrontations and reunions, fans were most excited to see Oda confirm that One Piece will be heading to an island that only the Pirate King has been to before. As fans know, this island could very well be a Laugh Tale. At least it's one of two strong options, so it's a 50/50 chance at this point The next arc of One Piece could be Final Islandand thus the Final Arc.
Now, since it's Jump Festa, let's talk about the original Jump manga!
After a long, long flashback – more like a deep dive into history – we return to the present, and just as your view of Elbaf began to shift… boom!! It ends with a big, grand finale. And from here things get really intense.
To that island only the Pirate King has ever been to!? A flame-marked man appears!! Two people who have never crossed paths finally meet!! And the two bump into each other too!! Will next year be a full-on reunion festival?
The story is moving at lightning speed, but unfortunately I'm getting old, so even if I take care of my health, I'll continue to sail through One Piece at the fastest pace yet for the next year – steady and full strength. The festival is upon us!! Please enjoy!!!” — Eiichiro Oda
Elbaf opens a gate towards the end of one piece
at this point it's pretty clear that whatever happens in Elbaf towards the end of this arc will be the gateway to the end of One Piece. Oda has teased several times that Elbaf will mark the beginning of the Great War, and fans know very well that it is almost upon them now. The revolutionary army is ready, as are the holy knights, Imu has also moved, and the Straw Hats are now stronger than ever. This may be the perfect opportunity for One Piece to enter its final arc and for the Straw Hats to head to an island that only the Pirate King has reached.
The next member of The Slam Hat Pirates will officially be the strongest in one piece
The Straw Hat Pirates are about to gain a powerful member. This member will be the strongest Yonko Commander ever in One Piece.
To be clear, this next island could either be Laugh Tale or it could be Lodestar Island. Both of these islands have only been reached by the Pirate King before, so it will be incredibly exciting. Regardless, it doesn't matter because both of these arcs will be the beginning of the end for One Piece as the battle for the 4th Road Poneglyph heats up. As a result, One Piece will soon be acquired by someone, probably Luffy.
One piece could end by 2032
Based on Oda's own comments, it appears that One Piece is fast approaching its end. If the final arc starts in 2026, which is a 50/50 case at the moment, then fans might think that One Piece will end soon. That said, the thing about Oda is that he's hardly always accurate with his time estimates. Previously, Oda had prepared things to happen in the following years, which took at least three to four years to come to fruition. This means that even if Elbaf somehow ends in 2026, some things may take much longer than Oda anticipated.
The final arc, or even an island that only the Pirate King set foot on, most likely won't come in 2026. Even if it does, the flow of events will probably take Oda at least four to five years, if not longer. A fair guess for the end of One Piece would be around 2032which is in six years, and if the fans are very generous.
One piece is a very long story where many plots need to be tied and many stories need to be revealed before the end. It goes without saying that all this will take Oda a very long time, quite easily at least six to seven years. So fans have nothing to worry about yet.
