2001 Silent Hill 2 is one of the most popular horror games of all time, and the task of remaking it was practically Herculean. While developer Bloober Team has delivered some solid horror experiences Layers of fear and Mediumshe had never tackled a project on the same scale as Silent Hill 2 remake earlier and the pressure on the team must have been insurmountable at times.
But against all expectations, the Bloober Team delivered the goods with the recently released Silent Hill 2 remake receiving favorable reviews from both fans and critics. Bloober Team has proven more than capable of producing excellent AAA remakes of beloved franchises, and after stating in a recent interview that “this is not the end [Bloober’s] adventure with Konami,” it seems that Konami may have more projects that Bloober wants to tackle in the near future.
