LEGO reveals upcoming Pokemon sets

LEGO and The Pokemon Company are officially revealing the first ever sets coming very soon in 2026, while also announcing a special trainer challenge that fans can participate in as well. The LEGO brand continues its massive popularity with the constant release of new collections and sets, many of which crossover with well-known IPs and franchises. Fans have already seen plenty of set announcements lord of the rings, Harry PotterMarvel and much more.

In fact, Nintendo has continued to branch out with the LEGO brand, with a number of major collaborations planned for 2026. Last year, fans saw a tease of a new one The Legend of Zelda The LEGO set will launch in 2026, though details on it remain very thin. For LEGO fans who don't want to wait until 2026 to get their hands on the new sets, there's an alternative option, though it's not cheap.

LEGO announces the first Pokemon sets for 2026

While the numerous LEGO Pokemon leaks have probably thrown up some surprises from these sets, fans now have official announcements and details to look at, as well as confirmed prices and release dates for each set. While it's likely that more will be on the way later in 2026, for now these sets will be released late next month on February 27th.

Here are the confirmed LEGO Pokemon sets for 2026 so far:

LEGO Pokemon Pikachu and Poke Ball

The first set revealed features one of the most iconic creatures from the series, Pikachu. This 2050-piece set features Pikachu jumping out of a Pokeball and comes with a black lightning rod-shaped base and lightning energy emitted from the Pokeball. Fans can also pose Pikachu in either a “Dynamic Battle Stance” or a more seated pose with the Pokeball enclosed.

The set also comes with several Easter eggs for fans to discover, including a “25” displayed on the base, which represents Pikachu's PokeDex number from Pokemon franchise. The set will come in at $199.99.

LEGO Pokemon Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise

The second set highlights evolved versions of the three starting pocket monsters from the original Pokemon red and blue games. This impressively huge set contains a whopping 6,838 LEGO pieces and allows the builder to place them all together on the action base or individually. The action base itself also features other design details based on each Pokemon's biome, such as a wave for Blastoise, a flower garden for Venusaur, and some sort of volcano or magma for Charizard.

However, the post is quick to mention that in addition to faithfully captured designs, each model also has its own unique articulation, with arms, tails and more being able to be placed by the builder. This one will also be quite expensive at $649.99, but it also comes with a special pre-order bonus of the LEGO Pokemon Kanto Region Badge Collection.

LEGO Pokemon Eevee

The latest confirmed set is a normal-type Evolution Pokemon known as Eevee. The smallest of the three sets, Eevee, has just 587 pieces, but like the rest of the collection, it has a moveable tail, head and limbs that allow the builder to build it however they want. Eevee can also be built using the Build Together app, which allows friends and family to work together on it.

The smaller set also means a much smaller price tag, as this one comes in at a much more affordable $59.99.

A coaching challenge

In addition to the announced sets, the post also kicked off a special Scavenger Hunt that fans can participate in. From January 12th to February 27th, fans can try to find hidden LEGO Pokémon clues across digital content and websites for LEGO i Pokemonwhich unlocks rewards with some bigger prizes on the line, including the aforementioned three sets. However, the Grand Prize winner will be invited to PokemonXP and the Pokemon World Championship 2026 in San Francisco.

Interested fans can pre-order the sets before each collection goes on sale starting February 27, 2026.
