
FromSoftware and Bandai Namco have revealed a major new expansion for Elden Ring Nightreign. The DLC called The Forsaken Hollows is set to hit all versions Elden Ring Nightreign at the beginning of December 2025.
The announcement of the expansion may not come as a surprise to the most observant fans, as FromSoftware's parent company Kadokawa teased Elden Ring Nightreign DLC plans during the last earnings call on November 6th. At the time, the group committed to launching new content for the game only during its current fiscal year, which ends in March 2026. A few days later, that tentative launch window was replaced with a firm release date.
The Elden Ring Nightreign: The Forsaken Hollows DLC will be released on December 4th
Elden Ring NightreignThe first expansion was revealed in the form of The Forsaken Hollows during Sony's latest State of Play Japan event. The DLC received a 108-second reveal trailer towards the end of the November 11 broadcast, with the video showing off its gameplay and bosses, among other things. The Forsaken Hollows will launch in all versions of the game on December 4th.
The Forsaken Hollows Adding 2 new Elden Ring Nightreign classes
Forsaken Hollows will expand Elden Ring NightreignA selection of Nightfarers with two new classes. The Scholar relies on high stealth and battlefield observation, while the Undertaker combines faith and strength into a unique skill set ideal for an aggressive frontline push. Both come along with new boss encounters tied to a new Shifting Earth setting called The Great Hollow, described as a large hollow in the Limveld.
Some Elden Ring Nightreign players already own Forsaken Hollows
Anyone who previously purchased the Deluxe Edition Elden Ring Nightreign will receive The Forsaken Hollows at no additional cost. The higher-level version of the game regularly sells for $54.99, which is $15 more than the base game. Between the release of the roguelike on May 30th and today's announcement, Bandai Namco also offered a $15 Deluxe Upgrade Pack, which has now been renamed The Forsaken Hollows. The Deluxe Edition offers a digital mini soundtrack and artbook as pre-order incentives.

From day one, Deluxe Edition Elden Ring Nightreign came with the promise of exactly one DLC expansion. Whether more content will follow will likely depend on the commercial performance of this first add-on. The game itself has surpassed 5 million sales by July 2025. Kadokawa Corporation recently stated that it expects to further boost upcoming DLC Elden Ring Nightreign sales, helping roguelikes maintain commercial momentum for some time to come.
