What's not included in the Mario Day 2026 sale

While the Mario Day 2026 sale offers decent discounts on various Super Mario titles, some of the franchise's most popular Nintendo Switch games are noticeably absent from the celebration. Super Mario Odyssey is one of the more glaring omissions, with the beloved Switch 3D platformer still going for $59.99 on the Nintendo eShop. This is particularly strange as Mario Odyssey headlined the Mario Day 2025 sale, which dropped to $39.99 this time last year. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe also missing this time.

As it happens, the last one released Super Mario games are also not part of this ongoing eShop sale. Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Banana, Mario tennis feverand Super Mario Galaxy 1+2 all are still full retail price on the eShop. However, it should be noted that Mario Day sales often include other retailers, so sites like Amazon and GameStop may offer discounts on these games closer to March 10.
