Marvel Rivals officially teases Lady Loki's skin

Marvel Rivals has always been pretty spot on when it comes to its skins, even if some of them have given the game a bit of reputation. It could be argued that Marvel Rivals has the best skins in the hero shooter genre, blowing its closest competitor, Overwatch, out of the water, but there's one thing Overwatch has that Marvel Rivals doesn't – mythic skins.

In Overwatch, a mythic skin is basically the highest rarity skin you can get, and they often change voice lines, enhance intros, have their own sound effects, a fancy weapon, and more. The release of a mythic skin is an event, and fans of Marvel Rivals were wondering if NetEase would follow suit, given that it removed almost everything from Overwatch.

Earlier this month, fans thought NetEase was about to provide a preview of the skins coming in Season 5.5 of what appeared to be a female version of Loki. However, with no firm answer from NetEase itself, and doubters pointing out that this could potentially be a skin for Hela (it looks like her, to be fair), excitement has been replaced by doubt.

Marvel Rivals officially teases Lady Loki's skin

That was until Marvel Rivals themselves dropped a cryptic teaser today, which is just a static video of an unnamed woman saying, “Oh, missing me?” We don't get much else from the video, except that there's a large lizard in the background (Jormungandr, perhaps?) and that the woman talking is definitely not Hela's voice actor Nika Futterman.

Forget Marvel Rivals, one creator imagines what DC Rivals could look like

I would be obsessed with this game for about a month.

Marvel Rivals fans have also done some digging and discovered that the speech in the video is something the male version of Loki was saying when he was revived with Hela's now-removed team-building ability. With all of this in mind, it seems extremely likely that Lady Loki is a thing and that we will get a proper reveal very soon.

As for when, Marvel Rivals executive producer Danny Koo revealed on Twitter that the mystery surrounding this clip will be revealed tomorrow, so I guess we don't have to wait too long to find out if this is indeed a Lady Loki tease or not. The smart money says it almost certainly does, but we won't know for sure until tomorrow.
