At this point, it was clearly clear that, unlike the first Marvel Spider-Man, who had three pieces after the DLC was launched, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 would have DLC packages, no matter what. This was confirmed by Insomniac Games on the one -year anniversary of the game, so the fans were grieved.
However, this does not mean that DLC was not part of the plans, because it was, and that would include a beetle. The way back in April 2024, the conceptual art of Beetle was leaked online, along with the details that it would be Janet Lincoln, daughter Lonnie Lincoln, aka Tombstone.
Unfortunately, the DLC was canceled, but we now know through a new escape that things were so close to realization.
Any kind of first time DLC for Spider-Man 2 would be great
As the first time was seen on Reddit R/Gamingleaksandrumours Sub, nearly two minutes of voice lines from the Smer, played by Miles Morales, were shared online, all spinning around the beetle.
The person who discovered the lines also claims that there could be some voice voices of Peter Parker, even if they couldn't find it.
Now that the DLC has been canceled for release, it is not as if it is not possible to add to Marvel's Spider-Man 3. After all, each of the Spider-Man games took advantage of the opening villain to help set up the scene and re-players with controls, and see how Kingpin, Rhino and Sandman would probably fit.
It probably does not cause the Spider-Man 2 fans less upsetting that the prospect of shortening support. But when it comes to any consolation, it was similarly reported that the leaked Venom Spin-off title is still evolving and that Eddie Brock would enter as a host.
