However, that window may have narrowed even further based on new evidence that has surfaced on the PlayStation Store.
Marvel's Wolverine is positioned as one of the biggest PlayStation releases of the year, following Insomniac's success with its predecessor Marvel's Spider-Man games. Now the iconic X-Men mutant Logan is set to star in a visceral action game that boasts battles against foes like Omega Red and Mystique and locations like the Canadian wilderness and Madripoor. Recent jokes also hint Marvel's Wolverine it may even include appearances by other Marvel heroes such as Daredevil, She-Hulk and Jean Grey.
Why you should revisit Marvel's Spider-Man games in 2026
While Marvel's Spider-Man 3 has yet to be revealed, there are a few other notable reasons to revisit the series this year.

The 3rd quarter includes the months of July to September, i.e Marvel's Wolverine will be released in one of those months if the information on the Latin American PlayStation Store is accurate. Given the announced Fall 2026 launch window, the only month that falls in both Q3 and Fall 2026 is September. With several PlayStation exclusives due out in 2026, outside of Housemarque's Saros in April, the rest of the year will be open for Sony Marvel's Wolverine.
The main factor to consider for any 2026 fall game release is its proximity to a blockbuster Grand Theft Auto 6which is currently scheduled to launch on November 19. With so much hype GTA 6 is over, other game publishers are likely to distance their releases from Rockstar's upcoming title. As such, it would make more sense Marvel's Wolverine release on the earlier side of its fall 2026 window rather than the later, which also lines up perfectly with the newly leaked Q3 window, making September the most likely month for it to launch.
Other major games confirmed for a September 2026 release include Halloween: The Game and Phantom Blade 0. The former is an asymmetrical multiplayer horror game based on the iconic film franchise, while the latter is a stylish action RPG set in feudal Japan. None of these games have much overlap Marvel's Wolverine genre-wise, so it would be much safer for Insomniac and Sony to release it alongside the September lineup than risk being overshadowed GTA 6 in November.
