Masashi Kishimoto proves once again that Naruto's next power-up is on the way

Ever since Naruto Uzumaki was sealed in the Boruto series, fans eagerly awaited his return. As most fans remember, Naruto Uzumaki, the Seventh Hokage of Konoha, was sealed by Kawaki at the end of the first part of Boruto. It was because he wanted to eliminate all the Otsutsuki to keep Naruto safe, including his son Boruto Uzumaki. Since then, Boruto has entered a new era with the Two Blue Vortex, and fans know full well that he will eventually return.

Naruto's Return itself is no longer a matter of dispute, because sooner or later it is bound to occur. However, what most fans worry about is his power level. After losing Kurama, Naruto Uzumaki is much weaker than before, meaning he won't be able to defend his village like before, unless he gains new strength. It just happens that Boruto the series is now officially established a new power for himand Masashi Kishimoto, the series supervisor, again emphasized the fact that the Seventh Hokage needs to get stronger.

Sasuke's sword upgrade means Naruto gets involved as well

Last in the Boruto series, fans saw Sasuke Uchiha got great power without being directly involved in the plot. Like Naruto, Sasuke Uchiha was kind of cut out of the story by being sealed away. While Naruto was imprisoned by Kawaki, Sasuke fought the Code and ended up being turned into a tree and his chakra gave birth to Hidarione of the strongest Shinju. Since his fall, Boruto Uzumaki continues in his absence. Fans are well aware that Boruto wears his clothes and even carries his sword that he borrowed from him.

Eventually, Boruto Uzumaki returns this sword to Sasuke Uchiha when he comes back. However, this sword will not be given to Sasuke as it was. It has been officially upgraded with technology from the future. In other words, Sasuke will be stronger when he comes back, which also means that Naruto will have to get more upgrades.

Years ago, Kishimoto confirmed that Sasuke and Naruto were progressing together. When one gets stronger, so does the other. If Sasuke returns with a powerful new swordthen Naruto will also have to gain a lot of power and it's practically confirmed that he will have to gain some significant power now.

Naruto needs something new to fight at the highest level

When Naruto returns in the Boruto series, he won't be able to fight the biggest threats as he is. At the moment, he only has access to Sage Mode, and while it's powerful, it's not enough fight people like Shinju or Otsutsuki. Naruto needs better powers and Ikemoto and Kishimoto will have to come up with something for him. Maybe he'll get a new power-up using the scientific technology that Konoha is slowly advancing. But an even better power-up would be for him to reconnect with the Tailed Beasts.

Fans want Tailed Beast Power for Naruto

Naruto may have lost Kurama's power but the other Tailed Beasts still exist. He could seek them out and reconnect with them, regaining immense power. Either way, Naruto Uzumaki needs to get stronger in the Boruto seriesand fans absolutely can't wait to see what's next for him. The Seventh Hokage has been out of action for far too long and it's about time he showed everyone what he's really made of.
