Monster Hunter Wilds Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto appeared in a new video from Capcom to discuss the team's plans for the upcoming major update. Set to arrive on February 18th, this latest major update brings a lot to players, including a new battle against an Arch-tempered version of Arkveld, the cover creature for Monster Hunter Wilds. The fight requires players to be Hunter Rank 100 or higher, as Arkveld is a 10-star fight. Naturally, players will be able to craft unique armor sets, including feylne armor, once the right amount of materials have been collected.

In addition to Arkveld, Capcom is also bringing back all four previous Monster Hunter Wilds Arch fights in new 10-star quests. Players who can overcome these challenging battles will be rewarded with Timeworn Charms and have a high chance of obtaining rare talismans. An optional quest called Proof of a Hero, which requires the hunting party to kill all four monsters in 50 minutes or less, will also be active during this time.

This update also adds player-submitted winning weapon and pendant designs. This includes Nolan Lu's cool Shatterseal sword, which looks like a broken mirror, and Ikea's SOS Meating pendant, designed to look like a stuffed piece of meat holding 3 feylnes. Players can obtain these items in a new quest. Support Hunter Nadia will also have a special co-op mission where players will have to fight what appears to be a colorful blob-style creature.

Coming Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection will also become part of a special collaboration with Wilds through a special side mission. Players will help a Royal Palico named Rudy save the eggs in the world. Players can earn unique rewards such as a Rudy costume for their Palico as well as “Monstie themed charms”.


Interestingly, Ryozo Tsujimoto also revealed that Capcom went through player data to find out Monster Hunter Wilds” Rompopolo is the least hunted creature in the game.
