The final set of battles is already raging in the third and final season Fire Force. While strange Soul Eater With the moon rising high and the world engulfed in flames, the fiery soldiers of Company 8 continue their duty even as they face their most powerful enemies yet. Furious battle is the order of the day, in addition to evacuating civilians from the chaos, and that means fighting doppelgangers of almost every major actor. Everyone has an Adolla evil twin, and most recently that included Assault's own.
Notably, several members of the White-Clad cult are now on Shinra's side during the Great Cataclysm, and that may be the only reason the heroes have any chance against odds like this. The Cultists have already unleashed a terrifying team of doppelgangers, with Assault only the first of several to enter the battlefield. Episode 20 covered Tamaki Kotatsu's battle against Doppelganger Attack, so now it's time to take on the most powerful of doppelgangers—and the cultists who unleashed them in the first place.

The remaining doppelgangers are ready to fight Company 8
Benimaru's or Joker's Doppelgangers could be next
As for the big picture Fire ForceLast season concerns, Episode 20 barely moved the story forward as Tamaki Kotatsu and Assault battled Doppelganger Assault in the city streets. That said, the anticipation at the end of episode 20 is pretty much the same as episode 19, with the single biggest plot thread being the invasion of several doppelgangers modeled after the powerful characters in Fire Forcethe main cast. It's the most effective cliffhanger for two episodes in a row as these doppelgangers promise some stellar fights as they mimic the ignition powers of Kurono, Benimaru and others.
Of these original five doppelgangers, only Assault's was defeated, and even then Tamaki needed the self-enhancing glow and support of the real Assault to achieve victory. Right now, despair is the main factor in the Great Cataclysm, along with its light counterpart, hope, meaning that Company 8's morale and the villains' psychological warfare mean everything as the fight rages. That's the reason Fire Force feels so scary at this stage of the story, with Shinmon Benimaru threatening to bring crushing despair to the heroes. The real article is nearly unstoppable and its double is unstoppable.

Fire Force: Each main character's age, height and birthday
Fire Force Season 3 Part 2 is currently airing and here's what you need to know about Shinra, Maki and Company 8.
Arthur Boyle may face the dragon in episode 21
A knight king needs a worthy foe to sharpen his blade
A few episodes ago, Arthur Boyle, King of Knights, saved Vulcan and Lisa at the last minute in Amaterasu when he used a precision blade strike to kill the little bug Giovanni inside Yu's head once and for all. It was an important victory that finally put the bizarre villain Giovanni out of the picture for good, but it also felt inoffensive and had only a slight impact on the story. It is not uncommon for shonen heroes to burst back onto the scene, stronger than ever, to defeat opponents and save life. Arthur did just that, but the self-proclaimed King of Knights needs a much bigger challenge – and he's probably about to get one.
Based on the last few scenes in Episode 20, which have Arthur looking more serious than ever as he surveys the carnage around him, Shinra's onion-headed rival will become a hero worthy of legend. The character gets another chance to really shine after forging a brand new sword, and what's more, the next episode is called “Dragon and Knight Surge Toward the Heavens.”
Arthur is undoubtedly the knight referred to in the title, and there is indeed a white-clad cult member known as the dragon. The dragon is one of the most powerful and prominent cultists of today, the perfect foe to test Arthur like never before with his coat of hardened scales. It might not be one of the expected doppelgangers, but a showdown like this might be the best way to get through the fight. Fire Force fans just saw between Tamaki and Adolla's own Assault.
