After five years of relentless searching, teasing from Ed Boon, and speculation, Mortal Kombat 1 has finally added the secret pink ninja, Floyd.
No one is sure how to trigger an encounter with them yet, but renowned Mortal Kombat 1 user thethiny managed to find them after completing a “stack of Floyd challenges”. However, as with any fighting game mystery, there are already rumors about the pitch, with some even claiming that you have to complete double flawlessness in Klassic towers to face Floyd, which has already been debunked.

When they finally appear, they have an incredible intro that fits the secret character. One by one, each palette swapping ninja appears in flashing beams of light, until finally a pink ninja steps forward, ready to knock some humility into you.
Just before the start of the fight, a unique pop-up will appear on the screen with the rainbow inscription “YOU FOUND FLOYD”.
Since they are a merger each the ninjas in the game (and apparently Raiden too), are a difficult fight to say the least. But if you manage to defeat this new, secret ninja, you'll take home a unique reward.
Defeating Floyd unlocks a new scene
According to Reddit user Old_Ant_9418, defeating Floyd will unlock a brand new stage, the field from the first announcement trailer.
Interestingly, several online players who were kicked out of the stage without warning thought they were playing against hackers. In reality, their opponent simply found Floyd leaning in on them with his fancy new stealth unlock.
While the community has yet to say what triggers the fight, dataminers have found Floyd's assets in the files. Interestingly, he appears as a cameo skin for Scorpion and Sub-Zero. Literally changing pallets.
