Naruto Uzumaki is the main protagonist of Masashi Kishimoto's magnum opus. As the main character, Naruto is clearly the strongest and most popular. The author gave Naruto a plethora of abilities that helped him win many important battles.
Naruto: 32 strongest characters in the series
These Naruto characters are the strongest individuals in the series.
In certain cases, Kishimoto helped the protagonist with armor, which is quite common in shonen manga. The author of Naruto did not shy away from helping the hero win fights that he absolutely did not deserve. Naturally, some of Naruto's undeserved victories left a sour taste in fans' mouths.
This post contains spoilers for Naruto.
Naruto Vs. Haku
Sasuke saved Naruto's life
Naruto's earliest challenging battle took place in the Land of Waves where he had to fight Haku, Zabuza's protégé. The Demon of the Hidden Mist took in Haku and raised him to be a warrior. He wanted to use Haku's powerful Kekkei Genkai to gain wealth. After spending so much time under Zabuza's wings, Haku became a deadly assassin who could take down his enemies in seconds.
This is why no one was rooting for Naruto to survive the fight against Haku. He was simply too strong and always one step ahead of his opponent. Haku was on cruise control for most of the match and at no point did it look like Naruto was going to win. However, Kishimoto knew he had to keep the hero alive, so Naruto was given a short power up. He also forced Sasuke to put his own body into play. Otherwise, Haku would easily win the fight.
Naruto vs Neji
Kurama came to save Naruto
The Chunin Exams are a special event held in various villages around the world. In Naruto, the exams take place in the Hidden Leaf. Since this is a prestigious competition, villages send their most talented genin to the competition. Many genin from the Hidden Leaf also competed in the trials and Naruto was one of them. The hero was pitted against Neji Hyuuga in the second part of the Chunin Exams.
Naruto: The 8 Most Impressive Deaths, Ranked
The Naruto series featured some truly memorable deaths, but some were arguably more impressive than others.
It was clear from the start that the fight was going to be exciting, especially after fans saw Neji in action against Hinata. Just a few minutes into the fight, it became clear that Neji had the upper hand against Naruto. The Hyuuga miracle bombarded Naruto with soft fist techniques, blocking all of his chakra points. If this happened to any other person besides Naruto, they would lose. However, Naruto was able to overcome this obstacle.
Naruto Vs. Pain
Naruto was saved by Kushina
Naruto may be a Shonen anime, but it's more philosophical. Many characters in the series live by a certain philosophy that they are unwilling to compromise, and Nagato was one of them. After seeing how those in power destroy lives, he came to believe that the world can only know true peace when we know each other's pain. Nagata's approach was radical and he didn't care who he had to kill. Because he was incapacitated, Nagato used six different bodies that came to be known as the Six Paths of Pain.
Everyone had a Rinnegan, but only had access to a certain path. Nagato also used these bodies when fighting Naruto Uzumaki. Despite mastering Toad Sage Mode, Naruto struggled against the pain. In fact, he got help from his late mother. Needless to say, Naruto was lucky again.
Naruto Vs. Obito
Naruto survived because of Obito's weak will
Naruto and Obito were alike in more ways than one. The two were kind and never shied away from helping those in need. However, after what happened to Rin, Obito's view of the world changed. Her death prompted Obito to help Madara and work on the Tsuki no Me project.
Longest Naruto Matches, Ranked
Good fights take time to blossom, but then again, no one accused Naruto of being small.
Obito's hard work paid off in Naruto Shippuden when he started the Fourth Great Ninja War. Shortly after the war began, Obito became a jinchuriki of the Ten-Tails, gaining incredible power. With his newfound powers, Obito nearly destroyed the Shinobi Alliance. Naruto and his allies tried to defend themselves but couldn't do much with their skills. So Naruto changed his approach and tried to talk Obito out of his plans. As expected, Naruto's infamous 'no-talk-no-jutsu' worked and Obito decided to drop his target. If Obito had stayed true to his thoughts, Naruto would have been decimated.
Naruto vs Kaguya
Naruto received a lot of help from his friends
Naruto's fight against Kaguya Otsutsuki was unlike most of his previous ones. The hero couldn't fight her in 1v1 because she was much stronger than him. So Naruto needed help from Sasuke, Kakashi, Sakura and Obito to have a fighting chance. However, even the entire group could not survive long against Kaguya as Obito fell victim to her All Killing Ash Bones.
With Obito seemingly out of the picture, defeat seemed imminent for Naruto and the rest of Team 7. However, Obito somehow managed to share the Six Paths Chakra as well as his eyes with Kakashi, which was the turning point in the fight. In the end, Kakashi's newest power-up paved the way for Naruto's victory. If Obito had died normally like every other character in the series, Team 7 would have lost and Kaguya would have reigned supreme.
