Kakashi Hatake, also known as the leaf copy ninja, is a key character Naruto story. First introduced as a reserved and lazy mentor to the titular protagonist, the white-haired genius from Konoha quickly became one of the most popular characters, as he was not only incredibly interesting, but also one of the strongest ninjas in the series. By the time the Fourth Great Ninja War began, Kakashi was one of the few characters who could face the strongest villains in the series.
However, given that his involvement in the series was almost nil once the final arc reached its finale, many fans believe that Hatake became complacent. This is by no means true, as the following plot likes Sasuke Shinden and Boruto proves that the Sixth Hokage has grown beyond what fans saw during the end of the original series. From creating new techniques to mastering what he already knew, Kakashi had once evolved in many ways Naruto it was over
Gojo vs Kakashi: Who is the stronger sensei?
Gojo and Kakashi have a unique approach to teaching. So which of the two is the better mentor?
Kakashi learned to live without the Sharingan
One of Kakashi's signature traits Naruto series was one of the strongest users of the Sharingan despite not being an Uchiha. Fans spent years not knowing the reason until his story revealed that he received this powerful Ocular Jutsu from Obito, his best friend who supposedly died when they were children. When the long-lost Uchiha is revealed to be the mastermind behind the powerful criminal organization Akatsuki, he engages Kakashi in a protracted duel that ends with Obito's death and the destruction of their two Sharingan eyes.
For many fans, this meant that Kakahi's power was completely gone, as he not only lost the abilities that made him famous as a ninja, but also access to the Mangekyo Sharingan ability known as Kamui, one of his most powerful techniques. The loss of his Dojutsu also prevented him from using his Raikiri, a lightning release Jutsu that created a blade of energy that could cut through almost anything. However, Kakashi proved that he never needed these techniques to be a respectable and feared ninja.
Naruto: Kishimoto reveals how he came up with the Sharingan
The Sharingan is one of Naruto's most famous abilities. Kishimoto reveals how he came up with the concept.
As evidenced by his contribution during the Sasuke Shinden Arc, as well as his brief fights during Boruto anime filler arcs, Kakashi proved that he had overcome his limitations and reached a point even higher than when he had the Sharingan. His Taijutsu is precise and effective, with no wasted energy or openings. The fact that his chakra reserves increased drastically without the Dojutsu constantly draining them also greatly helped his Jutsu become more deadly and potent. His stamina also grew exponentially, and he went from a dangerous opponent to a one-man army.
Kakashi's Jutsu also evolved
As most fans would agree, one of the hardest aspects of losing the Sharingan for Kakashi was the sudden inability to use his Raikiri effectively. Without the extended vision and quick reaction provided by Dojutsu, using this technique almost became a suicide mission. Instead of moving on and resigning himself to a lesser set of powers, Hatake took it upon himself to grow as a ninja and push himself to even greater horizons than the Sharingan had ever allowed him to overcome.
His intense training and determination culminated in the creation of a powerful and deadly Jutsu known as Purple Electricity. This technique was best seen during Boruto anime in which the Sixth Hokage uses a Jutsu against a newly graduated Genin. It works similarly to Raikiri, it's a blade of electricity that can pierce the opponent, but its biggest difference is that this ability can be extended. Purple Electricity can shoot blasts of energy at the opponent and also grow larger to reach greater distances.

With this technique, Kakashi no longer needs to use the Sharingan to attack opponents, as he can now use distance as an advantage. His new signature Jutsu also appears to be stronger than Raikiri, though its true limits have yet to be revealed. Still, the fact that he was able to develop this powerful Jutsu without the Sharingan speaks volumes for how much power Kakashi gained once the Fourth Great Ninja War ended.
Konoha grew stronger thanks to Kakashi
When NarutoWhen his most famous mentor was first introduced, he was portrayed as a lazy man who would do anything in his power to avoid his responsibilities. As the story progressed and fans learned about his past, which is by far one of the most tragic stories from the franchise, it became clear why Kakashi acted the way he did. He was afraid that he would worry again, only to lose everything, as had happened several times in the past. His time as the leader of Team 7 helped him overcome his trauma and allowed him to become a true and respected leader.
Once Tsunade stepped down as Hokage, the citizens of Konoha wasted no time in offering the position to Kakashi, who reluctantly accepted. Despite his initial hesitation, he proved to be one of the best Hokage in history as he led his home into an era of development and peace that had never been seen before. Hatake invested in technology, helping to create powerful Ninja Tools and medical equipment. He also expanded the village and created homes and workplaces for travelers who wished to begin life as part of the Hidden Leaf.
Boruto: Kakashi's return may be coming and it will change everything
Fans want Kakashi back and Boruto: Two Blue Vortex could indeed bring him back in the next chapters of the manga.
Thanks to his leadership, Konoha enjoyed a long period of peace, with no major conflicts breaking out between the main Hidden Villages. Kakashi fought hard to preserve the peace that he and his allies had sacrificed so much to maintain. While he may never have reached the level of power of monsters like Hashirama or Naruto, two of the most powerful Hokages in history, he ruled with the village's best interest at heart. Kakashi's growth went far beyond just physical training. He grew as a man, and this growth led his home and its citizens into an era of true prosperity.
