Naruto had already confirmed a Genjutsu even stronger than Tsukuyomi

IN NarutoNinjas use every tactic in the bag to get the better of their opponents. Since their primary goal is to complete their mission, they are not above using covert means. One commonly used skill is Genjutsu, and depending on the user, it can end fights in seconds.

When Genjutsu is mentioned, the name Itachi Uchiha often comes up. He is considered the best Genjutsu user after all Naruto. The Uchiha trained for years and mastered every technique in his locker, especially Tsukuyomi, which is the highest level Genjutsu.

Tsukuyomi is a skill that is linked to Itachi's Mangekyou Sharingan, so the Uchiha initially had no access to it. He only awakened the Mangekyou Sharingan during the massacre of the Uchiha clan after killing his parents. The sheer pain and trauma caused Itachi to awaken the Mangekyou Sharingan, giving him access to three overpowering abilities.

That's okay. Living a life of hatred is one path for a ninja.

The first was Amaterasu, which allowed the Uchiha to create black flames. Once used, the black flames would begin to spread to other parts of the victim's body and would not stop until the target was completely burned. The special thing about these flames was that they could burn anything, including other flames.

Itachi's Mangekyou Sharingan had two other abilities

The second technique that the Mangekyou Sharingan granted Itachi was the Susanoo. After use, a large spirit warrior came out and covered Itachi's body to protect him from any kind of harm. Itachi had always used the Susanoo to fight Sasuke, but it was enough for him to recognize its power. Itachi summoned Susanoo to prevent Sasuke's attacks from doing any damage and to occasionally intervene. Unlike most Susanoo, Itachi had two powerful weapons.

At some point, Itachi acquired the Totsuka Sword and the Yata Mirror, both of which were incredibly powerful weapons. Totsuka's sword was able to seal away anything it came into contact with, while Yata Mirror was able to nullify almost every attack. According to Zetsu, they made the Uchiha's Susanoo invincible.

The third and probably most dangerous ability of Itachi's Mangekyou Sharingan was Tsukuyomi. It was a Genjutsu that could trap people in an illusory world and alter their perception of time. Normally, Itachi would traumatize his targets in days, more or less putting them into a comatose state. Even a talented ninja like Kakashi was hospitalized after being subjected to Genjutsu. While Tsukuyomi is extremely powerful, there are two other Genjutsu that are actually stronger.

Kotoamatsukami and Infinity Tsukuyomi are excellent Genjutsu

Kotoamatsukami is a Genjutsu that is unique to Shisui Uchiha. What made Kotoamatsukami dangerous was that it allowed Shisui to enter any person's mind and manipulate their perception without them realizing it. The genjutsu gave the target a false experience, making them believe they were doing something of their own free will. A testament to Kotoamatsukami's potency is how it allowed Itachi to overcome Kabuto's control.

Infinite Tsukuyomi is almost impossible to avoid

While Kotoamatsukami is the best Genjutsu that normal people can use, there is one technique that is even better and it is none other than Infinite Tsukuyomi. Unlike Kotoamatsukami, Infinite Tsukuyomi can only be cast by people who possess the Rinne Sharingan. In order to activate the Genjutsu, the user must bounce their Rinne Sharingan away from the moon. Once done, the moon emits a powerful light that permeates everything. Anyone who comes into contact with the light eventually becomes immobile and trapped in a never-ending dream.

Normally, people incapacitated by the Infinite Tsukuyomi are then wrapped in the roots of the God Tree, after which their chakra is slowly extracted. Over time, the trapped humans lose their identities and become White Zetsu. Eventually, their chakra ends up forming a chakra fruit. So, one wouldn't be wrong to say that the Infinite Tsukuyomi was cast to form the Chakra Fruit. It is worth noting that there are certain people who are immune to the power of the Infinite Tsukuyomi.

Who can avoid the endless Tsukuyomi?

The first are those who possess the Rinnegan. They can block light from reaching them or anyone near them. Anyone brought back using Impure World Reincarnation is also unaffected by Genjutsu. Finally, any person whose body is covered in Black Zetsu can avoid being trapped by the Infinite Tsukuyomi. Considering how difficult it is to avoid the Infinite Tsukuyomi, it's safe to say that it is by far the strongest Genjutsu in Naruto.
