The main character Naruto Uzumaki excited the fans Naruto with all kinds of fantastic tricks, jutsu and transformations to keep you upping the ante episode after episode. Over time, the mighty Rasengan proved to be the most iconic jutsu in Naruto's arsenal, not to mention one of the most powerful. The Rasengan is an A-ranked jutsu created by Naruto's own father Minato, and of course Naruto finds ways to make it bigger and better than ever before.
That being said, Naruto is hardly a simple pony with a Rasengan. Many of his most egregious victories over foes like Kabuto and the Six Paths of Pain were made possible by the Rasengan, but Naruto has much more to offer. In addition to the basic Rasengan, Naruto can wield similar jutsu and various forms to challenge any enemy on the battlefield. Some of these abilities and forms are almost as iconic as the Rasengan itself, and Naruto Uzumaki simply wouldn't be the same without them.
5 things Naruto does better than all other Shonen anime
In these areas, Naruto absolutely dominates all shonen anime. No one comes close.
Taijutsu suits Naruto's practical creativity and courage
It might seem almost silly to bring up basic taijutsu in an anime world filled with magical fire, illusions, and tailed monsters, but it still means something. Of course, the most dedicated taijutsu users like Might Guy and Rock Lee take this technique to the highest level, but Naruto is not far behind. From the start, he was a practical thinker who thrives in the heat with physical challenges.
Therefore, taijutsu remained a simple but powerful tool in Naruto's arsenal. He started out as a decent user of taijutsu, such as when he faced off against Neji Hyuga in the Chunin Exam arc, and then took it to the next level when he faced newer enemies in Naruto Shippuden. It's no coincidence that two of Naruto's other signature abilities, the Shadow Clone Jutsu and the Rasengan, rely heavily on taijutsu.
The Shadow Clone Jutsu helped Naruto become a Ninja in the first place
Naruto can fight anyone with his army
One of the first jutsu Naruto ever used in the anime, and the first he used to great effect, was the Shadow Clone Jutsu. Next to the Rasengan itself, it is Naruto's most distinctive and memorable jutsu, serving him well since Episode 1. Unlike the Rasengan, which was invented by Naruto's father Minato Namikaze, the Shadow Clone Jutsu is the brainchild of Tobirama Senju. Naruto only has a distant connection to the Second Hokage, but he takes this jutsu much further than Tobirama ever could.
Naruto: 8 characters stronger than the tailed beast
Tailed Beasts are strong, but they don't stand a chance against these powerful Naruto figures.
It especially helps how Naruto has a huge amount of Kurama chakra in him that powers Naruto's Shadow Clone armies from the start. No genin could produce hundreds of clones at once or even a squad's worth, but Naruto made it look easy. As time went on, Naruto found more and better uses for his clones, such as helping him create and execute jutsu like the Rasengan and its variants. Naruto could even transform his clones to fool the enemy, such as in the Forest of Death.
Rasenshuriken can crush any enemy in seconds
The Rasenshuriken is adjacent to the original Rasengan as a swirling melee jutsu that Naruto can create in his hands. The original Rasengan used generic chakra, with Minato trying and failing to add elemental chakra to his jutsu. Later his son Naruto used shadow clones to solve this problem and added wind based chakra until a new jutsu was created: the Rasenshuriken.
Naruto trained hard Naruto Shippuden invent this fantastic new move and perfect it in time to face the immortal duo Hidan and Kakuzu of the Akatsuki organization. Teams 7 and 10 had a tough time against these villains, but Naruto showed up and destroyed Kakuza with his amazing new jutsu. However, Rasenshuriken requires a lot of chakra, so Naruto has limited use of it. In the later arcs, this jutsu was overshadowed by even stronger jutsu and forms that Naruto used, making it half-forgotten today.
Sage mode was needed to overcome the amazing power of the pain
Naruto used Sage Mode better than Jiraiya
Many of Naruto's most powerful abilities are transformations, a way to appreciate the Super Saiyan transformations seen in Dragon Ball Z. Over time, Naruto began using increasingly powerful and advanced transformations, such as his one-tailed biju cloak. The next big step actually had little to do with Kurama's chakra, Naruto instead trained at Mt. Myoboku to master Sage Mode, the same jutsu once used by Jiraiya and Hashirama Senju.
Naruto: Naruto Most OP Moments, Ranked
These iconic moments prove why Naruto is the GOAT
This stunning ability was exactly what Naruto needed to match Pain's power levels and defeat the villain once and for all. It wasn't easy but Naruto was able to do it and it helped that his Shadow Clones stayed on Mt. Myoboku to channel more natural energy into the real Naruto. Notably, Naruto's use of Sage Mode was more subtle than Jiraiya's own, given that Naruto's face was less prominent and deformed than Jiraiya's.
Kurama Chakra Mode was a symbol of Naruto's mastery over Kurama
Kurama was no longer a monster to be feared
Even with Sage Mode at his disposal, Naruto knew he still needed Kurama's immense strength to get him through some of the toughest fights. To this end, Naruto moved through his one-tailed cloak and even his terrifying four-tailed cloak to master Kurama's chakra. After training with Killer B as a fellow jinchuriki, Naruto was ready to become one with the monster within him. This led to one of Naruto's greatest abilities of all: Kurama Chakra Mode.
Also known as Nine-Tails Chakra Mode, this amazing transformation made Naruto a force to be reckoned with even when facing the most powerful ninjas of the time. In this form, Naruto can use the Tailed Beast Balls as another variant of the Rasengan. With Kurama Chakra Mode, Naruto can even manifest nine-tailed fox body parts as needed, a subtle expression of Naruto's semi-other nature.
Asura Kurama Mode was the peak of Naruto's power in Shippuden
Such power was needed to survive Endgame
Performance increases Naruto Shippuden it didn't stop when Naruto learned to fight Kurama as one. In the end, even that wasn't enough to take on foes like a fully powered Sasuke Uchiha, so Naruto added more of his own abilities to the mix. At that moment, the truth about Hagoromo Otsutsuki's strength and nature became known, and Naruto used this power to become someone truly incredible. Naruto was thus done with Asura Kurama Mode.
8 Most Disliked Naruto Characters Fans Can't Stand
Certain Naruto characters earned respect, others frustration that never really went away, testing the patience of fans throughout the series.
This form mixed Kurama's chakra with the Six Paths Senjutsu and turned Naruto into the ultimate warrior. Specifically, Naruto could use the Shadow Clones to create a six-armed being that can use the greatest jutsu to face Sasuke on equal terms. No other ability could ensure Naruto's survival when faced with a terrifying attack like Indra's arrow.
Baryon mode is terrifyingly powerful, but also expensive to use
Naruto must make sure not to overuse Baryon mode in battle
IN Boruto: Naruto Next Generationsfully grown Naruto Uzumaki was able to transform again. His titanic abilities saw him through the biggest and most heinous battles Naruto Shippudenonly for actions from Boruto forcing his hand as he grew back. Thus was born Baryon Mode, one of Naruto's newest and most devastating abilities of all.
This mode is a double edged sword and Naruto knows it. This form gives Naruto unmatched speed and strength, but also quickly drains Naruto's and Kurama's chakra and even Naruto's life force. Naruto must use this amazing ability with great care to keep it stable and relatively safe. That's why Naruto won't launch Baryon Mode for any fight; this is his high risk ace in the hole.
