New Rayman game leaked online

Another project from Ubisoft in Rayman series was apparently leaked because the potential game project had already received an age rating, despite not being officially revealed by the company. The leak confirmed previous rumors about Ubisoft and its plans Rayman30th anniversary, although the occasion already occurred in September 2025.

News about Rayman's return came amid a tumultuous period for Ubisoft. On January 21, Ubisoft announced a major shift in its operations, canceling several game projects that were in development. The biggest casualty of Ubisoft's restructuring was the highly anticipated remake Prince of Persia: The Sands of Timewhich was reportedly almost finished when the developer pulled the plug. Although it wasn't canceled by Ubisoft, the remake Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag he was delayed instead. The fallout from Ubisoft's changes also had a negative impact on its bottom line. On January 22, Ubisoft's stock price fell to its lowest point in nearly 15 years.

Ubisoft is reportedly facing further internal turmoil, with employees said to be openly critical of management following a recent restructuring.

Rayman could be getting a 30th anniversary game

Although rumors of RaymanThe return has been a persistent theme over the years, some new evidence could lend credence to the idea. According to the rating published by the Australian Classification Board (ACB), the game named Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition could target the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch consoles. The classification was dated January 22, 2026, just days after Ubisoft's controversial restructuring. Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition it was rated G for General, with an additional label stating that the game may contain very mild degrees of violent content. The ACB's G rating is roughly the same as the E rating for each ESRB. The ACB rating also matched the previous ones Rayman degrees they have earned over the years. But since Ubisoft has not officially revealed any information about Rayman series, rumors of a potential 30th anniversary game should be taken with a grain of salt.

Interestingly, the developer and publisher listed in the ACB was Atari rather than Ubisoft, with U&I Entertainment filing the review request. In short, Atari collaborated with other companies on franchises they did not own. For example, though Mortal Kombat The IP is owned by Warner Bros., Atari was listed as the publisher of the fighting game compilation Mortal Kombat: Legacy Collectionwith Digital Eclipse taking care of its development. As for U&I Entertainment, the company has worked with Atari and Ubisoft to release physical copies of various games. So the ACB rating could be for physical copies Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition which may be distributed if the game makes it to market. No further details about Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition can be obtained from the contribution of ACB.

Rayman's future remains shrouded in speculation

The rating confirmed past reports from Insider Gaming's Tom Henderson, who said two Rayman game projects were in development under the codenames 'Iceman' and 'Steambot.' Henderson later responded to questions about raymanwith the 30th anniversary project at X and said he believed it was more of a single game than a trilogy. Previous rumors stated that 'Steambot' was the code name for the remake Rayman Legendsa title known for having 1,000,000 collectibles. So the code name 'Iceman' is a likely guess Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition. Henderson added that the game could be released “very, very soon”, although it remains to be seen how soon that could be.

Meanwhile, fans want to play and Rayman the current generation console game is lucky. In December 2025, the Nintendo 64 app for Switch and Switch 2 received an update that included Rayman 2: The Great Escape as an exclusive benefit for Switch Online users with the Expansion Pack upgrade. However, time will tell if the rumors about RaymanThe potential comeback turns out to be true.
