Yoshi can jump into these pages to explore 2D levels that present Yoshi with unique critters to study and interact with. One of the new game mechanics Yoshi and the mysterious book is Yoshi's ability to feed fruits and vegetables to various creatures he encounters, each meal transforming them in unexpected ways.
