One Piece reveals the new strongest weapon of the highest class in Elbaph

The weapons of the highest class are the strongest blades created in the world One piece by some of the most talented individuals. Out of a total of 12 top grade blades, only a few were revealed by Eiichiro Oda, author One piece story. However, with the descent of Saint Nero Ima, King of the World in Elbaph, Oda has finally revealed to fans another blade of the highest rank, whose powers far surpass all others. Nero Imu's unnamed Supreme Grade blade certainly has tremendous durability as well as the ability to absorb high levels of Supreme King Haki, channeling it to a very high level.

Breaking Nero Ima's Special Curved Blade

Saint Nerona Imu, one of the first 20 monarchs and creator of the World Government, officially appeared in One Piece chapter 1179. It was immediately clear that Imu had a bladed weapon. To be clear, Imu's weapon is more like a spear or a Naginata, and it's clear that she wields it very proficiently. When most fans think of top tier weapons, they only think of swords; however, Whitebeard proved that blades are not necessarily swords to be classified as the highest grade. Whitebeard possessed the world famous Naginata. Known by the name Murakumogiri, it is anything but a sword, but it still carries a giant blade and is classified as one of the 12 highest grade weapons.

Whitebeard's Murakumogiri was able to absorb an incredible amount of Supreme King Haki, allowing him to channel this power without worrying about the blade's durability. At the same time, it dealt tremendously powerful blows to all of his enemies and even allowed him to compete with the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger's ace, also one of the highest tier weapons. Appearance-wise, Whitebeard's Naginata is very similar to Imu's, and it only makes sense for Imu's weapon to be Supreme Grade as well.

Why the world spear king is the ultimate weapon

Imu having a weapon to engage in combat was a surprise to many fans, but the moment it was confirmed to be a bladed weapon, it was obvious that it would be a blade of the highest order. The reason is quite simple. Imu has a very trusted subordinate named Saint Ethanbaron V. Nasjuro, who is one of the Five Elders. Nasjuro has a weapon of the highest level at his disposal called the Shodai Kitetsu. This weapon was forged a long time ago and stands tall as one of the most powerful top class swords in the One Piece world.

If Imu's subordinate has a top tier weapon, it only makes sense for Imu himself to have a powerful top tier weapon. Furthermore, the comparison between his weapon and Whitebeard's was absolutely impossible to ignore, and if Whitebeard's weapon was classified as the highest grade, then Imu's blade must also be the highest grade.

Measuring the strength of the Imu weapon against other top tier blades

The true powers of Imu's weapon were not fully explored by Eiichiro Oda. However, since this weapon is wielded by the King of the World and used in the battle against Joy Boy and the Ancient Kingdom some 800 years ago, it is known to have been created in deadly battles and bloodshed the likes of which no weapon has ever seen. Imu's blade is clearly the strongest in the entire world. The only other blades that come close to it in terms of power would be the other top class blades, Yoru in particular.

However, Yoru is only a sword used by a mortal. Meanwhile, Imu's naginata has been held in the battles against Joy Boy and is empowered by the Akuma no Mi she controls. All things considered, Imu's special weapon is far more powerful than any other blade in the story, and its true abilities are revealed to Oda in the final saga.
