Saber Interactive has confirmed that it is coming Turok: Origin will be officially released on Nintendo Switch 2. Turok: Origin is currently locked in with a fall 2026 release, and it's now confirmed that the game will launch on Nintendo's current generation console alongside the previously announced PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S versions.
Turok: Origin was originally announced at The Game Awards 2024 by prolific developer Saber Interactive. This upcoming title is the first main game in the series since then Turkreboot released back in 2008. In recent years there have been remasters of some of the originals Turk games as well as a 2019 spin-off Turok: Escape from the Lost Valleyan isometric game that marks a significant departure from what longtime fans of the series are used to. It was finally confirmed during the latest Nintendo Direct Turok: Origin will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 in a new gameplay trailer. Previously, the game was only announced for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, but players on Nintendo's newest home console will also be able to join in on the fun when it releases in fall 2026. It's worth noting that the first few Turk the games were originally exclusive to Nintendo consoles, appearing on the N64 and Game Boy Color, so it's good to see Turk stay where they feel at home.

Over the past year, Nintendo has seemingly made it a growing priority to get third-party games onto the Nintendo Switch 2. Ultimately, this is a good move for gamers as it allows them to enjoy their favorite games wherever they choose to play.
As regards Turok: Originnews about the game has been very quiet since its original announcement. This reappearance at the Nintendo Direct is a good sign that players will finally hear a bit more about Saber Interactive's dinosaur title, which is gearing up for a Fall 2026 release. Hopefully, it won't be long before the vague release window also has an exact date.
