Overwatch has officially revealed gameplay for Sierra, a new hero coming in Reign of Talon Season 2, with abilities including Tracking Shot, Tremor Charge, and Anchor Drone, which can act as a capture point or aerial fire support. Sierra is the 51st hero in Overwatchand a sixth to be released as part of Reign of Talon in 2026.
Recently, Overwatch revealed Sierra, the next playable character coming to the heroic shooter. Captain Helix Security teams up with Overwatch to take on Talon, who attacked her base at Watchpoint: Grand Mesa to steal a mysterious briefcase from the facility. The heroine with the drone held her own against Emre, but was eventually defeated, allowing the Talon to secure the payload they were looking for.

Overwatch Reign of Talon Season 2 Hero Sierra Abilities
Now, Overwatch has officially revealed how this new character will play in the game. A short gameplay trailer showed off all of Sierra's abilities, which center around her homing Helix Rifle, Tremor Charges, and her bright pink Anchor Drone, Dorothy. With this set, Sierra fills the same run-and-gun archetype as Overwatch heroes like Emre, Sojourn and Soldier: 76.

Sierra looks like a dangerous and highly mobile force on the battlefield. Her Helix Rifle works like Sojourn's Railgun, but with the ability to target enemies instead of using Charged Shot. Her Anchor Drone looks similar to Vendetta's Soaring Slice, giving her a powerful shot and escape tool. Meanwhile, her Tremor Charge and Trailblazer give her powerful AoE options. It looks like the Sierra will be a dangerous enemy to fly Overwatch heroes like Jetpack Cat and teams that are grouped together.
While Sierra's current activities – opposing the Talons after their attack on her facility – are known, her backstory is still shrouded in mystery. Players can expect to see a motion comic on April 13 ahead of the release of Season 2, which will likely explain where she came from, how she joined Helix Security in Overwatchand how she met her drone Dorothy.
