Paladin from Diablo 4 has a major drawback that I wish I had known about before Season 11 started

Like many others Diablo 4 Fans, as soon as Lord of Hatred was announced along with the Paladin class shadow drop for season 11, I knew I would be running him as my first character of the season. I usually don't like to fly to a new one Diablo 4 blind season and I tend to carefully plan my build in the weeks leading up to the season start date. However, when the Paladin was announced, all of that went out, but I would like to point out one disadvantage that the Paladin would have.

Jumping into Diablo 4 The first season of 11 with Paladin felt almost like experiencing the launch of a brand new game, as the nature of the class shadow drop meant that no one really knew how it was going to play and what the builds were going to look like. After spending some time with the skill tree and planning which skills I wanted to invest in early game, I realized that a large part of my builds would depend on the uniques and legendaries available and how each of them synergized with the various Paladin Oaths. Achieving my ideal build would prove to be more difficult than I thought, as it is impossible to target the Paladin's specific legendary aspects from dungeons in Diablo 4.

Most Diablo 4 classes have specific legendary aspects associated with specific dungeons

With a total of 46 legendary aspects, it would be nice if Diablo 4 would allow players to earn some guaranteed drops for completing certain dungeons. As it stands, everything else Diablo 4 classes have several of their legendary aspects locked away from completing specific dungeons, allowing players a direct method of adding them to their codex. Paladins aren't so lucky, however, and instead have to rely on the random chance of finding a Legendary with their desired aspect to fill out their codex.

Paladins still have access to generic legendary aspects that are downloaded from dungeons and available to all classes. Only legendary aspects for Paladin are not available from dungeons.

Paladins can only fulfill their codex of power by rescuing other legends

diablo 4 how to get coiling ward

In search of the legendary aspects I need for mine Diablo 4 The Paladin's build – which includes Aspect of the Golden Hour, Aspect of the Judicator, and Aspect of Holy Punishment – the only one I've found so far in my leveling grind in Season 11 is the Aspect of the Golden Hour. This is because I'm at the mercy of the RNG of Legendary drops from Helltide chests and Whisper Caches, and I'm hoping to find a piece of gear with one of those aspects that I can salvage and add to my codex. With 46 paladin legendary aspects plus those in the general pool, finding the two specific aspects I need to complete my build is frustrating.

Diablo 4: The Occultist

Saving legends makes finding the right aspect a gamble for Diablo 4 players

I generally like the process of adding legendary aspects to my codex and then applying them to a piece of gear on Diablo 4he is an occultist. However, I wish the system was similar Diablo 4New tempering mechanic where finding the tempering manual yields several affixes that can be tempered onto a piece of gear. If Diablo 4 had an item that allowed multiple legendary aspects to be unlocked in a codex at once, it would remove some of the hassle of grinding to randomly drop legendary gear with the desired suffix.

Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred will probably fix the issue with the legendary aspects of the Paladin

To save myself some sanity, I'm hoping the Lord of Hatred expansion will fix this problem. I'm guessing part of the reason Paladin doesn't have any legendary aspects that can be gained from a dungeon is because all the existing dungeons in Sanctuary already have an associated legendary aspect or are for a different mechanic. Rather than adding new dungeons for Paladin's legendary aspects Diablo 4 Season 11, I'd imagine that happens when the expansion launches. Lord of Hatred adds Skovos as a new area for players to explore, and it's likely that the area will feature dungeons with Legendary Aspects for the Paladin as well as a second unannounced class, much like Nahantu did for the Spiritborn in Vessel of Hatred.
