While pc gamers know they can expect free games on the Epic Games Store every Thursday and free games on Steam every now and then, sometimes coming out of left field. On February 18th, the Legion Gaming Community will launch a free Key Drop event starting at 9:00am PT/12:00pm ET. To claim a key, players will need to have a Legion Gaming Community account, connect it to their active Steam, and join the Key Drop queue when the time comes. Once completed, players will have 10 minutes to claim a free code and redeem it through Lenovo partner Gamesplanet. For smoothness, it is recommended that you are logged into Gamesplanet before joining the Key Drop event.
PC gamers can claim Heavy Rain for free
The key in question is for Heavy raina classic choice-based narrative game from Quantic Dream (developer Detroit: Become Humanwhich is currently being worked on Star Wars Eclipse). It's an older title, released back in 2010 with a solid overall score of 87 on Metacritic, but it's still worth your time. However, it is worth noting that there are plenty of 10/10 scores from both critics and users, with over 100 10/10 scores on the platform.
The main goal Heavy rain is to identify the “Origami Killer” while going through the action and story of the four characters. Ethan Mars, Madison Paige, Scott Shelby, and Norman Jayden are playable characters, all with their own ties to the Origami Killer. As with the best choice-based horror games, these characters can live or die based on the player's decisions and skill.
Having come out in various forms over the years, including a PS4 remaster in 2016 and a PC release in 2020, it's worth noting that this PC version is on par with the PS4 remaster. Fans can expect improved performance and visual improvements from the original 2010 release. However, it should be noted that this version will No including a DLC called The Taxidermist, due to the brevity and exclusivity of the original PS3 game.
Finally, fans should note that the Key Drop promotion is not an unlimited offer of free games. It usually takes a few hours, but these codes will undoubtedly go through quickly.
