The resulting information suggests that other mainline titles will be named Pokemon wind and wave or Winds and waves. Analyzes of the leaked material suggest that the game's map is likely to be based on Indonesia, with several environments drawing broader inspiration from across the Southeast Asian region.

The images show a total of nine locations, most of which appear to be different environments, although some may show the same area from different perspectives. A notable highlight is an underwater scene showing what appears to be a sea floor covered in pink algae on a bumpy, light-colored sandy surface.

Underwater journeys may be making a comeback in Pokémon Wind and Wave
The presence of a seabed environment suggests Pokemon wind and wave may mark the return of the underwater journeys that have been missing from the series for more than a decade. The latest main series Pokemon RPG to function such areas were Black 2 and White 2released in June 2012. In both games, the underwater paths in the Hoenn and Unova region functioned similarly, requiring players to use the Dive HM or TM in the world to access them. With the Generation 10 titles said to be set in an archipelago, the inclusion of diving mechanics would be in keeping with a setting where players are expected to spend a significant amount of time traversing aquatic environments.

Among the rest of the leaked screenshots, one shows a large metropolitan area that may be the same city as in the previous one Pokemon wind and wave leak from December 2025. The new image reveals a sprawling park containing either a lake or a blue-tiled area, along with a mix of futuristic and historical architecture. A sand-covered cliff can be seen in the upper right corner of the image, suggesting that the city may be located in a desert environment.

Another environment shown in the February 2026 leak shows the edge of a swamp with a large hollow tree stump near its center. The swamp appears to transition into a sunny grassland biome. This particular screenshot is notable for containing a pixelated section in its central area – presumably to obscure identifying information about the source of the leak. If captured from a playable structure, the censored area is likely to coincide with the position of the player character. Pixelation is extremely aggressive, reducing the cut to a few bland rectangles and obscuring all details, including colors. The remaining leaked screenshots show a snowy mountain, a desert tower – possibly part of the aforementioned city – and several lush environments.
Pokemon Wind and Pokemon Wave they will likely be announced on February 27th, which is this year's Pokémon Day. The upcoming event is expected to bring many more announcements, not least because 2026 is the franchise's 30th anniversary, which The Pokemon Company will likely want to commemorate in a number of ways.
