Pokemon Go has officially launched an online map for the mobile game, making finding local raids and gyms easier than ever. The massively popular monster-hunting franchise spin-off offers players plenty of opportunities to challenge its most powerful creatures with several different types of end-game content. Pokemon GO debuts a new raid map
Pokemon Go launched an online map for Raids on February 26, allowing players to track several different points of interest from the game's official website. The map allows players to pinpoint locations for both regular raids and the new Super Mega raids, displaying Pokemon, star ratings, and time remaining for each raid. Players can use the map to find gyms in their area, changing colors accordingly Pokemon Go the team is currently checking the location. The full map allows fans to watch a wider range than Pokemon GoThe current game view offers, with players can find specific raids that may be further. A Gym tracker could also help Pokemon Go players find places to either take over or leave their Pokémon, although it doesn't show which Pokémon are currently located in each gym. The map highlights locations that also have upcoming Super Mega Raids, allowing players to prepare for future events.
The useful new Raid resource seems to be a big help for both long-term and newer Pokemon Go players. Niantic VP of Product Michael Steranka recently talked about the improvements Pokemon Gonew and returning player experience, the feeling that the game doesn't have the “right balance.” Steranka suggested that improving the experience for these players will be a “major goal” going forward, with the goal of lowering the barrier to entry for pro Pokemon Go players who may not have played since the game was released.
