Pokemon Leak Reveals Mimikyu's True Form

Another alleged recent leak Pokemon the data leak could reveal what Mimikyu really looks like under his ghost disguise. Back in August, Pokemon Developer Game Freak has been the target of a series of massive data leaks that have revealed everything from unproduced games to unused Pokemon designs dating back to the original Generation 1 era. The so-called “Teraleak” has dominated discussions of Pokemon over the past few months, with new information still being revealed at the time of writing.

One of the latest secrets reportedly revealed in Teraleak has to do with Mimikyu, a Ghost/Fairy-type Pokémon that was first introduced in 2016. Pokemon Sun and Moon. Mimikyu is largely known for its unusual design, which allows it to disguise itself in a ghost-like rag that resembles Pokemon the mascot of the Pikachu series. The dark secret of Mimikyu's costume may have finally been revealed in the already infamous Pokemon data breach as reported by Comicbook.com. Earlier this week, Twitter user CentroLeaks, who has been following the rumors and information that these leaks have brought, shared alleged concept art of the spirit Pokémon Mimikyu. This includes an illustration of what it supposedly looks like under the disguise, revealing it to be a smaller ghost-shaped creature that can see the eye holes on Mimikyu's “chest”. Mimikyu's Pikachu-like tail is also fake, with one image showing both it and a larger disguise being discarded.

As previously reported, this is just a small part of the tidal wave of leaks, rumors, and canceled projects that have been discovered in the wake of the massive Game Freak data leak. Newest appetizers for upcoming Pokemon Legends: ZA were reportedly leaked, revealing that players would be able to choose from three Kalos region starters Pokemon X and Y. Of course, everything revealed in Teraleak should be taken with a grain of salt for now, including the recently leaked Mimikyu design.
