Update Pokemon Pokopia to version 1.0.2

On March 17th, a new update was released for Pokemon Pokopiabringing the game to version 1.0.2. This update fixes a number of bugs, including some that may have hampered game progress. Players have been assured that if they experience any of these errors, installing the update should fix them and allow them to continue playing normally.

Numerous requirements have been adjusted to make it easier for players to understand what they need to do in order to proceed. For example, improvements were made to both the “Rock Smash your way to treasure!” and “To Snorlax!” requests. Both of these requirements confused players, as placing blocks over broken blocks near Hitmonchan and Snorlax would make it difficult to understand how to proceed. Although the patch notes didn't specify what changes were made here, newcomers and those who haven't reached these requirements should be able to navigate them more easily.

A number of bugs were also fixed. Fixes include changing to “Help make a home!” in the Withered Wasteland, where Squirtle had the ability to move to the top of a tree and then be unable to talk to him. Another such case was in “Find the Pokémon Center!” where, depending on the sequence of events, Professor Tangrowth may not ask to repair the bridge. Similar fixes were implemented for the Rotom encounter in Rocky Ridges. Fixes and adjustments have been made to make it easier to progress through the “Find the Pokémon Center!” request and “Make way!” in Rocky Ridges. Spinarak also had bad typing in the Pokedex, which has now been fixed. This is the second update the game has received and it fulfills a promise the developers shared earlier. Earlier in March, Pokemon Pokopia promised to fix many bugs and issues that have now been resolved.

With any luck, this update should smooth out all the rough spots in the game and make it easier for players to progress through the title. Even though the game was extremely popular, there are some minor things that players may have found to be obstacles or just plain unclear. For example some Pokemon Pokopia players meticulously watered every single plant in the game, only to find that when it rained, the plants automatically watered.

Pokemon Pokopia has plenty to keep players busy with around 300 different Pokemon species to discover and plenty of content. However, it is also likely that the game will eventually receive DLC. While some players were hoping for Johto in Pokemon Pokopiaothers think they've discovered hints that players may eventually gain access to the Sevii Islands. A note found in the game suggests that the islands are a particularly good place to visit for rare Pokémon encounters. No official announcements have been made yet, but with the popularity the game has seen so far and the benefits Nintendo is providing, it's likely that players will have to wait.

During the request “Help make a home!” in the Withered Wasteland, Squirtle can move around on top of a tree and cannot be spoken to, hindering progress.
During the request “Find the Pokemon Center!” in Bleak Beach, if the cracked blocks on the bridge break before Professor Tangrowth crosses the bridge, it will be difficult to complete the request.
During the request “Find the Pokemon Center!” in Bleak Beach, a specific sequence of actions can prevent Professor Tangrowth's request to repair the bridge from triggering, preventing progress.
In Rocky Ridges, a certain sequence of actions can prevent the event in which the player encounters Rotom.
During the request “Clear the way!” in Rocky Ridges, if the requirement is triggered under certain conditions, it will be difficult to make progress.
