While REPO is not primarily a monster hunting game, but rather a survival game where players collect valuables, they can actually become a group of several brave semibots who focus on upgrading their power to become brutal and merciless killers of the same monsters that want to kill them. It's important to have power upgrades inside REPO catch and smash monsters into the ground or throw them into pits.
REPO: The 7 Scariest Monsters, Ranked
The REPO contains some truly terrifying monsters that will make even the most hardened bots tremble with fear, and here is the scariest of them all.
There are 19 monsters REPO, and each requires a different level of strength enhancement if players are to successfully grab them and throw them to the ground with ease. Strength isn't just good for getting heavier valuables, it's also good for turning REPO into a monster killing adventure.
Updated on November 7, 2025 by Usama Ali: The latest Monster update for the REPO introduces 10 brand new monsters. With enemies like Loom, Gambit and Cleanup Crew, players now have even more reasons to invest in power upgrades. This guide has been fully updated to include all 29 monsters currently in the REPO and the power-ups you need to take them down.

Elsa
Power Upgrade Needed: Impossible
Elsa looks like an adorable canine companion, but she can quickly become terrifying. WITH 600 health, 5 damage per hitand since she is unretrievable, she only wants affection. Petting Elsa will cause the heart to disappear, but if attacked by players or enemies, she will transform into a muscular beast capable of ripping through anything nearby. Protecting her from damage is the only way to ensure she stays friendly.
28
Peeper
Power Upgrade Needed: Impossible
The Peeper is a giant eyeball that often appears on the ceiling in an attempt to lock onto players' eyes, slowing them down and dealing damage over time if they don't break line of sight. Since the Peepers are stuck to the ceiling, it's impossible to catch them, so it's best to leave them until they teleport away after a few seconds, or shoot them with the pistol.
27
Tick
Power Upgrade Needed: Impossible
The tick is small, but if underestimated, deadly. It only has 10 health and no power is needed to pick it up. Touching or grabbing a tick causes it to latch on and take 10 health per second until it is killed or reaches 100 health. Defeating him will release a healing mist that players can enter. Ticks usually spawn in groups best left alone unless you are prepared for the risk.
26
Gnome
Strength Enhancement Needed: 0
Gnomes are the weakest of the monsters REPOand their little porcelain pickaxes do 10 damage, but they themselves will be easily killed once players pick them up and drop them on the ground, which can be done from level one since they're very light and require 0 strength upgrades.
25
Petard
Strength Enhancement Needed: 0
Banger is a skull that will light a dynamite fuse in its head the moment it spots a player, and as such can be quite dangerous if players aren't careful. When they explode, players take damage and can also part with any nearby valuables. Fortunately, the Banger can be picked up and thrown without a power upgrade to ensure they aren't much of a hindrance.
24
Apex Predator
Strength Upgrade Needed: 0 (When Apex Predator is knocked down)
Apex Predator works a little differently than other monsters because the amount of power doesn't really help subdue this monster. The Apex Predator's purpose is to annoy the player and get in their face until they accidentally touch it, at which point the Apex Predator becomes a flying monster that chases and bites. Players can pick up the Apex Predator from 0 powerups, but will need to use either a cauldron or a stun gun to put this duck enemy to sleep.
23
birthday boy
Power Upgrades Needed: 4
The Birthday Boy looks perfectly harmless with his balloons, but popping one will turn this party into chaos. With 150 health and 10 damage per slap, this party boy goes berserk when provoked. If players leave his balloons untouched, he remains passive. Popping a balloon makes the birthday boy chase you and slap you until you run or hide. Groups of differently colored birthday boys can spawn together in early levels.
22
Head grabbing
Power Upgrades Needed: 4
Headgrab is a fast, aggressive enemy that feeds off fallen players and attacks on sight. Once it steals the player's head, it becomes faster and more dangerous. The Head Grabber is vulnerable to quick hits from small valuables, making parrying easier.
21
Spewer
Power Upgrades Needed: 4
Spewer stalks the corridors of most maps looking for players to latch on to, providing them with new mouths that randomly open and spit acid at other players and valuables. There is no way to detach the monster until it chooses to do so on its own, but players can avoid it by picking it up before it locks when they have 4 strength upgrades.
20
Upscream
Power Upgrades Needed: 4
Upscream is one of the creepiest monsters to look at as he crawls all over his legs and looks at the player with the creepiest smirk. Fortunately, this fearsome beast can be killed with just 4 strength upgrades, allowing players to pick it up and throw it as it flails helplessly.
