Xbox has officially teamed up with Pringles to give away some free goodies World of Warcraft, Sea of Thieves, Fallout 76and Outer worlds 2but unfortunately the promotion is limited to the EU and requires a smartphone to complete. While international players can technically get items from this Xbox promotion, they'll have to jump through a few hoops to do so.
Fans are no strangers to Xbox partnering with popular snack makers for unique promotions featuring items for various games. For example, in 2024, Xbox teamed up with Trolls and Mountain Dew to give away items for games like World of Warcraft, Diablo 4, Sea of Thieves, The Elder Scrolls Online, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024and Madden NFL 25.
These were the most played games on Xbox and PlayStation in 2025
New data reveals the most played games of 2025, and the results may be surprising considering the many big titles that were released this year.
Now Pringles has put its chips on the table with its own Xbox gaming giveaway. From now until May 5th, players who create an account on the Pringles website can generate codes that can be redeemed for free in-game items for the following titles, one per day:
- World of Warcraft: Crimson bow tie
- Sea of Thieves: Scarlet Stack Sails
- Fallout 76: Clothes Mr. Vault Boy and Mr. Head Mascot Vault Boy
- Outer worlds 2: Julius P Dog skin
However, there are some fine prints that interested fans should be aware of. First and foremost, this promotion is only available in the UK and EU. Pringles cans in these regions advertise the game's promotion on physical products, although no purchase is necessary to obtain the items, despite the website suggesting otherwise. Unfortunately, players in the US and other regions cannot create accounts to generate the necessary codes.
Additionally, the promotion requires a smartphone. Trying to access the Pringles website on a PC simply gives users a QR code that must be scanned on a mobile device to enter the promotion, create an account, and get the codes they need.
How to get Pringles x WoW, Sea of Thieves, Fallout 76 and The Outer Worlds 2 promotional items
-
Live in UK/EU regions
-
Get codes and redeem user generated codes in UK/EU
-
Use a VPN to create a UK/EU Pringles account
That said, all hope is not lost for fans who don't meet these requirements. While creating a Pringles account is region locked, the codes themselves are not. Although it is not clear whether Fallout 76 items work the same way because they are distributed through Steam, codes for World of Warcraft, Sea of Thievesand Outer worlds 2 all redeemable on Battle.net in any region. This means that EU/UK players with international friends can generate additional codes using additional email accounts and give them away. Alternatively, players have reported that using a VPN allowed them to create a Pringles account and successfully generate codes themselves without issue.
Regardless, players don't need to rush to complete these steps. They have until May 5th to claim and redeem the codes, but it looks like the items don't actually ship until after that. It's unclear exactly when these items will arrive, but the website says they can be obtained between June 1st and July 5th, so the items will likely arrive around that time. It's also unclear exactly what these items look like at the moment: Crimson Bow Tie pro WoW not even available for datamin z World of Warcraft: Midnight beta, so fans have no idea what they're actually getting right now. That said, free stuff is free stuff, and with no purchase required, there's no harm in trying to get codes for any games they happen to be playing.
