Resident Evil Requiem finally has a photo mode

Out of the blue, Capcom has suddenly added a surprisingly sophisticated photography mode to Resident Evil Requiem as part of its latest update.

Resident Evil Requiem is without a doubt one of the prettiest games Capcom has ever developed, going even further than Resi's already stunning remakes. It was quite a shame that the game didn't launch with a photo mode like the Resident Evil 4 remake, which fans immediately understood when it was released a few weeks ago.

To be fair to Capcom, they were quick to promise that more content was in the works for Resident Evil Requiem, making it clear that a photo mode would only be a matter of time. As it turns out, it wasn't much time at all, as a photo mode was suddenly added to the game today without warning.

Time for another repeat…

The official Resident Evil Twitter account has announced that a brand new patch for the game has just been released, albeit without any prior warning. This patch addresses several things, including bug fixes, localization changes, and improvements to character expressions in certain scenes, but there is one very obvious highlight.

I'm talking, of course, about the photo mode that has finally been added to Resident Evil Requiem after almost a full month since launch. It's very similar to the one the Resident Evil 4 remake had, and allows you to pose characters, add frames, toggle different vignettes, and change expressions – pretty much everything you'd expect from a Resi photo mode.

It's a bit of a surprise that Requiem didn't launch directly with a photo mode like previous games, but it's nice to see it finally included and with so much effort put into it. The Resident Evil Twitter account showed off some impressive footage of the mode, and it looks like we're all going to have a lot of fun diving back into the game to pose Leon and Grace.

Pokopia's Ditto in Resident Evil Requiem.

Pokemon Pokopia is much scarier than Resident Evil Requiem

Requiem is terrifying, but Pokopia's existential horror is infinitely scarier.
