Resident Evil Requiem grants Grace a damage Buff early

Resident Evil Requiem launches today and some of you are probably already playing it. By now you must have realized that Grace and Leon have very different playstyles: Grace focused on stealth and puzzles, and Leon is a zombie killer who does unnecessary backtracking. That said, the former is a bit more nimble than the Raccoon City veteran.

Grace doesn't do as much damage as Leon, nor can she carry as much. Fortunately, there is a way to increase her early game damage. As PC Gamer's Sean Martin noted, killing a relatively tough enemy early in Requiem allows Grace to unlock permanent damage. And that really fits.

How to improve Grace's damage

After meeting The Girl at Rhodes Hill Care Center, you'll find yourself in the west wing of the facility, near the kitchen. There is a massive zombie wielding a cleaver that you should ideally avoid. However, it does hold the key to a pantry that holds great loot, including a draw spell that increases the knife's resistance and damage.

Killing the zombies will be difficult, but Martin has come up with an easy way. When you return to the west wing, the zombie will be on the bottom floor. Lure him into following you into the Central Hall, where he won't pass. This will allow you to take shots at him when he turns around.

Ammo can be made with any equipment found in the Blood Lab in the East Wing, and this is also a great time to shoot the Requiem that Leon will give you. If you do this a few times, you'll kill the big guy, after which you can take the Pantry Key from him. The door can be found on the ground floor of the west wing, in the kitchen.

This will make you less dependent on sniping and give Grace a better fighting chance.
