Resident Evil Requiem reveals that Mr. X is worth $120 million

We all know that under pharmaceutical cover, Umbrella is a bioweapons conglomerate that sells monsters to armies around the world to fund a eugenics program that will one day create a new race of superhumans who love sunglasses: you know, typical Resident Evil stuff.

But have any of us stopped to think about the logistics of it all – how much will a buyer pay for something like Nemesis or even just a lollipop? And how much damage will Leon Kennedy, Clair Redfield, Carlos Oliveira, and Jill Valentine do as they make their way through Raccoon City? Finally, Requiem gives us the answer.

Minor spoilers for Requiem.

Towards the end of the game, in the ARK lab under the ruins of Raccoon City, you can find a series of monitors displaying the Umbrella product catalog. This 2026 data shows the current, up-to-date prices of various iconic monsters (or superhuman bioweapons) from across the series:

  • Bully (Mr. X) – $120,000,000.

  • Race 43 — $100,000,000.

  • Licker – $14,000,000.

  • Cerberus – $30,000,000.

You may have noticed that Nemesis is missing from the list, the STAR-obsessed stalker who won't get a fucking hint. Well, him does appears in the catalog, but its price is “agreed”. All Spencer knows is how much Jill Valentine stopped Umbrella when she punched a hole through his…meat mound.

Leon cost the umbrella at least $220 million

Resident Evil Requiem file detailing how much Mr. X cost.

After burning Plant 43 alive and turning Mr. X into paste, Leon cost Umbrella at least $220 million, and that's not counting all the licks and Cerberus he sent out, or the iconic trench coat the bully waltzes into the RCPD with.

“A humanoid biological weapon with exceptional combat capabilities,” the product catalog reads. “It can perform simple commands such as tracking and eliminating targets, and comes standard with a cloak for effective human camouflage.”

Jokes aside, it's a neat ensemble that fleshes out the mundane side of Umbrella, making the game world feel a little more alive, but I'm especially excited when fans inevitably crunch the numbers and find out exactly how much damage Leon, Claire, Carlos, and Jill have caused. If nothing else, I know I'll be watching my next playthrough.
