This isn't the first time Blizzard has offered a similar challenge, with players having a chance to earn their Battle Tag after the game's release on the Lilith statue. Diablo 4 in 2023. First 1000 players to reach level 100 in Hardcore mode Diablo 4 had their Battle Tags carved into the statue of Lilith that now resides at Blizzard's Irvine campus and will soon join her Diablo 2: ResurrectedGrimoire of the Unfallen. However, this latest competition is even more exclusive as only 300 players will get their names instead of the previous 1,000.
Reaching level 99 with Warlock in Diablo 2: Resurrected is not an easy task
Competition with others Diablo 2: Resurrected players seems to be the most challenging part of this competition, but even reaching level 99 with a Hardcore character is a monumental task in itself. Steam Achievement for this challenge v Diablo 2: Resurrected is almost impossible without investing a lot of time and playing the game slowly and carefully. Only 0.1% at the moment. Diablo 2 players on Steam have even earned this feat, and the numbers for other platforms are similarly small.
Fortunately, the new Warlock class is one of the strongest Diablo 2 ever seen, and there are some great build options that can help players reach level 99 on Hardcore. Echoing Strike Warlock has the highest DPS potential of the build options for this class, but Fire Warlock with skills like Flame Wave and Apocalypse might be a safer choice for Hardcore players. Hardcore run Diablo 2 they can be quickly finished by pesky enemies like Undead Stygian Dolls, so using skills like Flame Wave that deal damage while keeping enemies at bay with knockback can be a good strategy.
